So I don't remember all my battles but hopefully these few will be helpful:

Battle 14 - Honor at level 16 I beat with Mithrill at 12. I find the Champion and Metal types work best dragons like Honor, Croconile, Huntress and some of the other champion/blue types. I have beaten him before with my Neo Tinsel (14) but Mithril is my go to.

Battle 20 - Gryffin at 20. I just beat him with Achilles at 15. I found the beast types act very similar to the pure champion types where Diamond/Diamond Hybrids are your best bet.
