Swamp snakes not spawning

I am at the last step of part 1 and have to expand to the mysterious home but can?t do this directly as I presume you need to expand to square next to it first. However this square needs a permit which requires snake skins from spawned swamp snakes which are not unfortunately spawning. Please fix ASAP. Thanks.

Also to add to this bug, every time i try to fill one of the items needed in this same spot the game instantly crashs.
Im using IOS
Ive tried rebooting etc but didnt help

I am having the same exact issues.

Hi all, this has been resolved. The expansion requirements were incorrect and snakes are released into the storyline in a later part.

It is going to be a rare item though.
