I have the ice castle in one game, wanted to buy it for my other game, and I’m told that I’m at my limit and must level up. What the WHAT?!?! I don’t want to sell off buildings so that I can purchase a building with gems!

Same for me. I would love to have this castle, but I don?t know what I should sell off...or why I would have to sell anything to include this building in my kingdom.

If you message S8, could you maybe ask if the 'Ye Olde Bar 'n Grille' is supposed to have the Town Building Limit too?
It was also a Gem purchase and I don't thing those should be affected by these limitations.
(if it were up to me they get rid of them all together, but that's probably wishful thinking..)

I thought much the same but after placing it on my board I realized it was like a little baby Arctic Bear:
