The Love Shack has helped me a little to get Alicorns but not the majority of my herd. The horn is the rarest; maybe one or two a year and that comes from sending out constant adventures. I had actually forgotten about it until a few years back when posts here reminded me. Pulled it out of storage and had enough resources to craft two Alicorns. And at most four since then. Two came from watching ads, which I don?t do often. I think people with several dozen Alicorns got them by purchasing gems. I certainly won?t begrudge those who spend real money to support the game!

One or two a year is huge! (I think everyone is contstandly adventuring anyway..)

I have 3 Alicorns from watching video’s. Less then 1 a year, when watching all availible video’s every day, but still super lucky.
And I picked up some other nice things from video’s.

I got more than few alicorns by watching videos, then I bought some when they go on sale. I don’t think I have ever purchased gems. I used to get my free gems from downloading new games and playing till certain level. I don’t see those offers any more, free gems area is now filled with spams or you’ve to buy something to get the gems. I only spent money when there’s expansion deals involved.
