I'm sorry this happened to you but they've never been in order of usage - at least, not in my game. In my game they've always been broken up so they go like this: 1st app part, 2nd app part, 1st app part, 2nd app part.

I agree this is how it always has been, and also that it would be SO MUCH easier if the collectibles were in order, but what kept ****ing me this time is that they were all the same color again. I both accepted gifts I didn't need, and managed to redeem collectibles for the wrong part. Which yes, if I had been more careful/less rushed might not have happened, but it's still extremely bad design. The RS current goals, with the 1st appliance collectibles being green and the 2nd appliance collectibles being red, is the best version.
