I think they just pushed an update. After it, my barons tent cabbage count dropped -- matching the number of snowballs I had had. I had to force quit and restart the game to see them as snowballs in the tent. I can still see my cabbage count in the trade wagon and it looks right. Thanks S8 for addressing this.
