So, I just had an interesting few minutes...
I've been stuck on Neo Valiant since yesterday evening (EST). I tried to start a boost for leaderboard and had to buy it twice to get it to work. So, as I went to battle, I was wondering if I should e-mail support about it. Well, after I picked my Galleon (15) to give Valiant a go, my phone did a reset and I managed to beat Neo Valiant in one shot. Imagine my concern when my battle arena showed available to battle! Was I going to have to try Neo Valiant again? Nope...it was Wave Racer and beat him first shot with Glasswing. Also, when I looked at my gold, the 15 extra gold I lost trying to buy boost was back!
Woohoo! Finished, checked storage and Wave Racer is there, he's going on a nest ASAP - I love the Tropic dragons and saved gold to buy all the habitats for Aug. So happy right now!
Does anyone know if using magic first or bash first makes a difference in battle.
I'm sure it doesn't matter. I've created a habit, though, of starting with magic to show my opponent what type of dragon he is up against! Then I give him 2 bashes usually, unless my intuition tells me to release magic on him again.
No where near finishing this tournament, so today's videos shall be watched for free gifts instead of turns on the battlefield. Crossing my fingers for lots of food!

That is so nice, after being stuck on NV. I've never had a rollback work in my favor during battle. A few times it happened after beating a difficult dragon and whoops - the win didn't take and I had to re-do it. Often used the same winning dragon that lost!!??
I like the Tropical dragons as well,
Congratulations!
Thank you so much skyharbor602 for suggesting trying an Arcane type dragon, I was stuck on Neo Valiant all day and only had 3 hours left before the tournament was over, my Spellspine finished the job.
I finished with half a day to spare but now have a long line of dragons waiting for their turn in the Healing Spa
My new baby account, as in I started it last week, was really struggling with not having enough coins to do anything. Well, the videos came to the rescue when I got lucky and watched several that gifted me with 250,000 coins each Needless to say I went all out to upgrade my farms and habitats
