I got some from oak trees- but seemed that drop rate was much worse compared to white birch tree - not sure yet- might have been random. But so far all my trees have dropped it.

I lucked out on my Oak tree. Chopped 1 tree, 10 hits and got 15 birch bark!

If any trees will work, this info from the inventory guide may help:

Sadly I can confirm this and also wishtheywereeal's post as it relates to dead trees.i also had chopped down two. I hate having to chop trees other than dead trees. I love having all that greenery around in my kingdom.

Seems to me that the puppet theatre could have been a 1x2 or a larger image. So far drops have been manageable, at least I haven’t been frustrated with them, yet.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. A chance to drop tickets and permits... Sounds familiar. I can count on one hand how many tickets I've gotten from the animals that have a chance to give one. I just have neverending earth wisps. Without a guaranteed ticket, I am out. Good luck to everyone who plays!

I too have a constant black flag on earth wisps. On the positive side I haven't had to craft a lantern in ages. This would be great for lower level kingdom and on the rare, rare, rare occasion I get a permit, I still consider myself coming out ahead on energy usage.
But I really think that S 8 has reduced the drop rate on permits. I know I used to get more from my Flygers and Dire Boars. But I just got 1 today.
I'm not trying to change your mind...just sayin.

What does that mean? I keep seeing "black flag" mentioned on forum, but had not seen anything like that in my game.
