At least expansion permits are on the list of drops so it's worth it to me to keep going. And given expanding is my focus then the Pilot Faerie will be a good addition to my kingdom.

I get it, IF I hadn't know in advance that I was spending gems and not crowns I would be disappointed too

i'm too close to finishing. i just need one more wings. then the last two goals. luckily i am still "lower level" (just shy of level 45 so trying not to hit it before the next event) with those requirements. so i'll finish. then stock pile energy.

I need to make 5 flying wings and 2 flight goggles and will be done with the event. I haven?t spent gems. I think I can make it.

I think with how energy heavy this event is that once I finish it I?m going to sit the next 2-3 out and stockpile for a bit. I?m going to be overseas from mid July to early August so if I collect from all my daily ali?s and from the daily adventures then I should end up with quite a stock pile.

I think this one has really put me over the edge on energy vs final reward.

For how much work is needed you?d think that the pilot faerie would drop something like energy.

Each collection the pilot has dropped trade tickets. Usually I get just one, my last collection was 2. If you collect from her every 8 hours, that's at minimum 3 trade tickets per day.

In my higher level kingdom, I can make an expansion permit at least every 1 1/2 days just from my trade ticket droppers.

In my lower level kingdom, I now have 3 items that drop them every collection, this will help immensely in the future.

I agree and I do wish that the event items had better drops in general but especially in this instance when we faced such extremely poor drops that everyone remarked on it. The drops of the event crafts are pretty sad when weighed against how much effort and time went into making them. In Press Your Luck, the items we crafted leading up to the final prize were smaller (thus more board-friendly) and had decent drops - the coins alone made them worth the effort for some. The pig, plane and tower we got this time are simply disappointing in comparison.

The plane has a decent coin drop but with its size and timer it's just not worth keeping out; the tower looks cool but if I replace my Dainty towers with them, I'm losing both coins and RPs. As for the pig... well, his wings and goggles just aren't enough to make me put away one of the dozen other dressed up pigs we've gotten in past events.

I missed the first week of this event because of other things and so I had to give up. Honestly though I can get a trade ticket every 2 hours with the energy I would be using to chop and fight, but I really wanted that pilot fairy. I wish that it would be offered to buy with gems.

For a reasonable price.
I wonder how many gems it would take to gem through.
The wings alone are 60 gems. Too much. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

I am on goal 11. I see now that I will have to have five more sets of flying wings to make the flight suit! That is a lot of flying wings!
