Sunsnake dragon fireblood event requires too much food

So I am extremely sad as there is now only 18 hours left of the Party is coming fireblood event and I have been struggling my tooshie off checking my dragon story as much as humanly possible whilst juggling my life....but this current act to raise the sun snake dragon to level 13 is just plain cruel to us players who can?t afford to buy gold... I thought I was doing kinda well until I got to that I really hard act of the sunsnake requiring WAY too much food and simply do NOT have enough time to grow all what I need... With only 18 hours left and me having to sleep for some of that I have absolutely NO hope of EVER completing all these acts to get the fireblood or even the flame queen I don?t think will be able to get because it?s doubtful I will even finish the sunsnake feeding if I do it will be likely just in time for the event to end. It?s clear that this was done as a pay to win act because I can?t fathom how anyone else is supposed to overcome this massive amount of food in time unless they had a TON of food saved up beforehand...

I think when these events are planned they should be timed out properly so that people have more than enough time to sleep and be able to grow enough food for the event if they started out with zero food at the beginning...As much as I love the game I simply cannot be on it 24/7. :?(

It?s very hard for me to play these days when more and more of DS is being pay to win. I can?t afford to buy gold now but in the past I have bought gold when it used to be cheaper and I used it to buy my diamond dragon when they also used to be cheaper too.

The sunsnake dragon simply requires too much food. I even had 40,000 food to start off at this event but even that didn?t help me much because the amount of food you make the sunsnake dragon require is just too much and not easily done unless you buy gold. I have rent and bills to pay and sadly I cannot afford to spend $14 - $30 in gold I would possibly need in order to finish this quest because I have to spend that on food. It?s just too much money for me. I?ve been on this game almost since the beginning. If the sun snake has to be levelled to 15 then I am 100% toast and have no hope of finishing this. Although that?s already looking to be my case at this point.

Lots of people buy gold, there is no need to make it so hard for us loyal players who have been playing for years. I couldn?t even imagine trying to complete these acts as a smaller island...they?re really, really hard now. it makes me sad. Please, please don?t make the event dragons require so much food in these acts! I love this game and I?ve been playing it for years! Please show some love for us loyal players. We?ve been supporting you all these years. <3

I agree. We complain we beg we ask nicely. Nothing works. All you can do is what many of us have already done- resolve tp play your own game, try for the dragons you REALLY want and don’t allow yourself to be lured into events with ridiculous food requirements and breeding demands that have seen the common dragon become the hardest to breed. It hurts at first but you will soon get used to it. Play your game not theirs. This way you will soon be enjoying the fun game it used to be. - and, needless to say you will be a lot richer once you are not required to buy yourself to the next chapter. Look back on last few storybook events and you will realise they have become incredibly boring - same tasks over and over - and dragon ‘rewards’ are all the same element which means you then have to buy more specialist habitats. I for one am have wrenched myself off the bandwagon and the game is much more enjoyable for it.

Thanks for your replies guys. I sympathize completely. I am still trying my hardest to get the flame queen but I don?t think I can do it in time because while I finally managed to feed my sunsnake dragon to level 13...I didn?t have enough parts to make the other rookery that is the next act so I am currently crafting the last one I need in order to make it. As soon as it?s done I will craft the silly rookery and then I have to breed my sunsnake dragon to something before I can start crafting my flame queen but there?s just not enough time. If I have to breed some dragon that?s like 12 hours I am screwed. I have tried my hardest but I doubt I am getting the flame queen. I don?t have any gold either I spent what little I had on food to get my sunsnake to level 13 hoping the next few acts would be simple to get my flame queen but I was wrong. You were right about the acts repeating though...why do I need so many silly rookerys and signs? Sigh. Oh well. At least I tried. How far has everyone else gotten? I will never finish this event that much is certain...but I was still hoping I could get the flame queen. Sigh. DS...please don?t make it so hard for us loyal players who can?t afford to buy gold. Please.

It?s extremely frustrating that for all the money they?re getting they still do stuff like this to try and entice you for more and more. I can?t honestly justify buying gold anymore at this point. It?s just WAY too expensive. If it was a LOT cheaper I would buy gold but the prices now is INSANE! $140.00 for 2,900 gold can only get you like one or two dragons of the more expensive ones or a couple of the super cheap ones. That?s extremely overpriced. These dragons do nothing except bounce on your screen. You can?t pick them up and put them on a shelf like a figure or a plushie. You can only stare at them on the screen on a game that crashes WAY too much even on my newest model iPhone and this is a brand new phone and it still crashes. For something you can?t physically touch it?s just too expensive I can never justify myself to spend $140 when I could buy something I actually need or physically touch. If 2,900 gold was $20 as the most expensive I would definitely but it here and there...but at the current price it just disturbs me how expensive it is. Dear DS please lower the gold costs...I remember when the gold prices first came out they were still pretty pricy ...but now it?s increased so much.

I wish they would fix the free gift ad videos too! So many times I watch the video and it says ?video did not finish?!i even took a few screenshots of it. It?s very frustrating. For all the money they make why can?t they fix these problems I just don?t understand.

Well guys, I hate myself a little now...I spent the last 6 hours of my life on my game the entire time doing everything I could in my power just to try and get the flame queen dragon...I spent most of that time doing surveys for hours and hours to earn gold. I got enough gold to skip through the act to craft a rookery which was 25 gold but then the next act was to breed my sunsnake dragon and with only 14 minutes left of the event I raged and panicked that I didn?t have an additional 25 gold to skip through the last act I needed to complete to get my flame queen. As I had 3/4 pompous crowns to craft the flame queen at the spell shop it cost 300 gold to get the last pompous crown I needed so I was like...no way...I could pay 25 gold to complete that last act to skip through that sunsnake breeding act but with only 14 minutes left it was impossible for me to get 25 gold from the surveys in such a short amount of time because those surveys take hours for very little reward. 20 minutes of life doing a survey for 1 gold, ONE GOLD, is painful! So... I didn?t want to waste my last 6 hours of my life and have no reward for it so completely defeated I purchased 120 gold to complete the sunsnake breeding act so that I could craft my flame queen... I wasn?t sure if crafting my flamequeen dragon while the event ended would cause my flamequeen to disappear so I also used 30 gold to skip through crafting my flame queen just incase. So now I have my flame queen and wasted 6 hours of my life struggling when I could have just bought the stupid 120 gold at the start of the 6 hours!!! Ughhhhhhh!!!!!!! Good job DS. You roped me in with your event. >:c Oh well...the flame queen is really pretty in epic form though which is why I wanted her so badly AND HAD to have her *sigh*

At least I got two dragons, but in the end I still had to pay to win and I am not proud of that. Sunsnake is absolutely gorgeous though I love the look and it is one of my favourite new dragons.
