I feel so behind and I'm working as hard as I can! I'm still making rainbow dust to craft the 2nd emerald gnome. I'm not sure why we had to make 2, seems like that should have been players choice. I don't need another silver source.

I feel the same way. The game has lower level requirements and then upper level 50 requirements. Unfortunately I'm somewhere in between with the resources that I've earned. So far.
Adding: my point is that I agree with you. That second emerald gnome should have been our choice.
