Yes random drops!! First visit NADA. Not happy  that?s another six hours until I can try again, not even sure what to collect in advance

Since you have to wait six hours, collect from the sparkling mine.
I got the porous diamond even though I'm not up to that goal yet.

I' would just chop walking flowers ( so you can hope for trade later for better supplies), collect from chickens and Rocket Larkspurs ...

First chest dropped a sleeper gnome. A decoration with a 4 hour timer. Not sure what he is going to drop but he looks cool. More like a wizard.
