If you have done the Elven goals and have the apothecary, you can craft the kitchen boost which temporarily speeds up the kitchen timers. But that will eat up your Elven coins if you use repeatedly.

What exactly does that mean?

I get all the other quickly but the kitchen you have to craft them for 2 hours. The ones I have to craft in the kitchen will hold up my progress.

Sent out requests to 153 neighbors 5 hours ago and have received zero.

it's a torture. It takes 6-7 seconds to load a kingdom on my iPhone 6. Not fun for sure.

Torture, yes. My games crash when I visit neighbors or community and it takes abt. 2 minutes to start them up again...But I do understand and appreciate the thought behind it.

I bought the workshop but I'm not sure if I'm willing to do all the collecting etc. for the offered creatures.

Though I'm not fond of the randomness, it's nice that players who didn't get Batty in last event get the chance for a black batty *whamalam*

I haven't received any either. But unfortunately my neighbors accepted requests that were automatically sent from the last event before this one even started. Accepting requests from an expired event is pointless and in this case even detrimental.
