The event is free, we just have to work hard at it to win the prizes.
The cow, chicken, pig and cottage are just like their regular ones, so, other than the cute factor, I wouldn't bother with them.
The goat is okay, it's been dropping Earth Wisps for me, and as for the Vampire Coffin and Witch Alpaca, I'll have to wait until I get them to see what they give.
The Headless Horseman is going to be another walker, so he's just a moving decoration. It would have been good if he brought with him some extras like the Guardsman or the Tradesman did.
I believe others have mentioned selecting an item to craft and later seeing SOMETHING ELSE cooking in the oven in earlier posts in this thread.
This is either an unsquashed bug or is somehow related to the resetting (aka "rubberbanding") issues that many of S8's Story games face; the solution of which we were told, is to check with our Internet Service Providers.
I encountered something similar, though on a lesser scale, when I set my Potion Shoppes to crafting Living Wood. It was a 15-minute job that I let run for over an hour, but when I got around to collecting them, the Living Wood jobs had turned into Earthen Potion ones, like those I completed before starting on the Living Wood jobs. I wouldn't have minded it if it had been a simple revert, but all the items I used for the the Living Wood, White Petals, Wood and Water, were not returned.
Definitely slow going with the glimmer pops for me too. I would say drop at about 1 per 5 collections. Doesn't seem to matter whether that's a 6 minute earthen potion or the 4 hour luminescence.
No luck with the bags either. At this point all they are dropping is useless pops from earlier levels. I have not had a single worthwhile thing from them. I suppose I'm meant to pay out and buy a super one. But I recently upgraded my tablet so I have a device which runs everything like silk except Castle Story, which runs like tar - worse than the old one. So I'm not in inclined to spend on it.
Same here, one pop out of 10 collections. I really wish the randomness of these events would just stop. It would have been better if the drops were based on crafting time, say 1 pop for every 30 minutes of crafting time. Then at least we could put the chicken in the pot & get some sleep already!
Does any monster give the yellow (lemon?) pop? Or is it just the bat from bashing rocks? I saw a splash screen at the beginning of this chapter but failed to note which monsters were on it.

The collections from hatchery for me is horrible. It’s going to take me a while
