I just sped the last 1.5 hours of a 16 hour breed, only to get 17 hour breed. It really stinks that the fails are so ridiculously long.

Another nine gems spent to hurry up the current breed, only to get another 17 hour. That's it. I'm done. Wish I could delete the SB so I don't have to keep looking at it.
I have no willpower. 😂 Despite my best intentions to ignore the remainder of this event, I tried one more time and got the Papillon. Now I just hope I can finish the rest on time.

I was trying for days without luck for papillon, just when the event going to expire , now papillon becomes common .
Your conspiracy may be correct. It will become common animal after the event.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think they remain breedable. I feel like other ones like this have stuck around after their story books have ended. I can't comment on its availability in the shop as I don't pay much attention to which animals are available for purchase - I barely have enough space cleared to keep up with the ones I earn, lol.
