Conclusion: Level 15 single element commons aren't much good for players like me who have been put into a tournament group challenged with an increased difficulty level. So, none of them registered a win in this tournament probably due to their already inherently lower probability of winning (i.e. as compared to champion dragons) that rendered them ineffective with the difficulty factor loaded in!

I usually do extremely well playing my single element commons (level 15 or 1). However this tournament had me a little rattled from the start because I find it frustrating looking for the best color/element match and level to use against 3-element dragons.

Is irregular but is somewhat common, i get Congo, Neo Valiant and Tribal this year . there are 2 tournament each month sooo from 12 tournaments, 3 have Champions.Hello

Almost all years there was a Tales event that give a Champion dragon (this year was New Glasswing, last year Dread Captain)
I dont know if there are a Leaderboard or World Events that give champions.
The most confiable path to Champions is breed green/red SR Landworms , exchange for escence and use the Codex to get a Paladin (less food to level up)
Neo Valiant was a win on Leaderboard, not a tournament. I would say once or twice a year through battling, then once or twice a year through other Events. I got Huntress through Tales way back in the day. I think it was another Tales that offered 3 of the other dragons I have.
then Neo Glasswing was in tournament and Neo Valiant in Leaderboard ? i remember that both where in the anniversary of Dragon story but i dont remember witch one was from tournament
