Castle Story: 02/22 - Valentine monster pets and babies

SW ~ Would you please try to get a lil more info from S8 today?:

1) Where, exactly, are the possible spawn places for the Valentine beasts?
(So many various reports here & only 1 place for each beast indicated in-game.)
2) What, exactly, are each baby's possible Valentine decor drops?
If they are old decor from previous years &/or the same as the items we can craft in the Sweetheart Shack, then what's the point, unless one of the babies has a chance to drop the Pink Alicorn or Sweetheart Unicorn (and the limits have been lifted) or...the LOVE SHACK! (LOL!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist, lol)

In fact, "the point" is the current overall Q-of-the-Day I'm asking myself...

* This event is so ill-timed (over a week AFTER Valentine's??). HELLO, Since Valentine's is OVER -- what's the point?

* I already put all of my Valentine's decorations away, and I'm sure others have, too - so, why do we want or need animals that drop Valentine's decor -- what's the point?

* The event only lasts a week and the spawn rate for the PINK beasts (for me so far, at least) have been yet another aggravatingly random occurrence. That means getting 75x3 heart tokens and 36x3 strawberry milks for no other reason than to have 1 of each animal just to have them (& another 6 things to add to my inventory pages) will only prove to be a week of wasted energy and hours of frustration battling normal beasts who drop NO tokens -- so what's the point?

* We *already* have umpteen variations of beasts and umpteen-plus-1 babies! Other than growing our storage cellars, why would we want or need anymore of either of those, ANYway? -- what's the point?

* The Trade Wagon has all of the regular token trades open but this isn't a regular Monster Hunt and regular tokens aren't dropping ANYwhere -- so what's the point?

* "Love is a Battlefield", while being a cute homage to Pat Benatar, only awards coins & XP, not even ONE heart token -- so what's the point?

* This event also awards NO crowns that I've seen, even on the heels of its recent release & after all the hubbub about playing events to get crowns - so what's the point?

In the end, I have surmised that the point is to rid us of any saved energy we may have hoarded and to give us busy-work for a week....all for more animals we don't need, babies we don't want and decorations we won't use for another YEAR.

Soooo, back to my 2nd original question for S8 - unless the deco-drop possibilities are something new (i.e. different from old stuff we already have from past Valentine's Days and the new deco we can now craft), then I think I've asked myself "what's the point" enough to know that there really *isn't* a point - not for me, at least. I'll probably only be popping into my game occasionally, to continue to hoard my energy (against S8's wishes, haha!), only collect those few things that I find important, and wait for next Thursday to see if there's a FUN St. Patrick's event and/or some NEW, interesting prizes in the Baron's tent.

These are great questions. I?m reminded of another game I used to play years ago...it was so incredibly fun!! The same thing happened there, as with this game - - the game content was fun all the way around, excellent story line, decorations, rewards, prices...for the first 2 or 3 years. After the game gained popularity, the storyline changed and the decor and reward system gradually went downhill. Many players desired to have everything back the way it was, so they voiced their concerns. The game eventually shut down a couple years later. Sad to say, nothing improved, just gradually became worse. I?m not saying that will happen here, but it sure seems to be following that familiar pattern. I really like this game, it has so much potential.

S8, please keep it going strong. Games like this are hard to come by. No need to fix or change something that works beautifully.

Is there any reason at all to even try to spawn the pink direwolf that takes 10XP instead of pink skunks that takes 3XP except for daily goal? DWolf only drops 1 token just like others.

Okay after the 3 expansions another good thing about this event (I don't go for the pink monsters):
Direboars spawn rate is perfect! If it stays like this I'll get my Dire Piglet in a few days and finish another quest from my book! 😊

Still getting glimmer goblin from rocks. What a waste of energy. S8 fix this!!!

yeah. I still need milk for trades and the kitchen :-/ So I end up spawning the wild lovebeast too

I was just coming to the forum to let people know that chocolate eggs are dropping from the pinck chickens.

The pick boars don't come from the rocks (even though the game directs there) mine spawned from the red mushrooms.

Pink fangbeasts from my chickens.

Pink skunks from corn, tomatoes and ?? I can't remember the other thing.

I've had two pink wild direloves spawn from rocks, so you can find them there. Like the rest of you, I may sit this one out. It would be my first time ever, but I'm working on finishing Of Land and Sea and would prefer to focus time and energy there.

However, I don’t mind taking some time to concentrate on cows and chickens to get trade tickets and the boar might be useful; the lovebeast sometimes gives two tickets and usually gives back as much energy as was used to slay it
I think it is time for S8 to put the babies to bed and have some adult time. Please please please get back to the original story line

Mostly getting wedding paths from the babies. Wah wah. Did get a sweetheart?s gate on the last collection. I already have several though. I thought the pop up said new and exclusive bday decor? So far it?s all repeats.

It's a real shame that we couldn't be working toward a Cupid troll ....instead we are working for another baby??? Thanks I think I'll just take the time to lick my wounds after spending so much time and energy trying to get the fairie, got close but just couldn't make it, real life and all that. Hats off to everyone who posts and shares information to help us enjoy the game more!
