I have a question for those of you that rely on color matching. Since no one has a dragon above level 15 and a level 1 common dragon can beat a champion, I'm thinking that color matching is more important than level or rarity. I seem to be doing okay with that strategy but would like to get some opinoins on choosing dragons.

For example, if your opponent is a 3-color dragon (color A, color B, color C) and your dragons are similar except for its colors, which dragon would you choose?

Dragon 1: 3 colors good against color A.
Dragon 2: 2 colors good against color B, 1 color good against color C.
Dragon 3: 1 color good against color A, 1 color good against color B, 1 color good against color C.

All opinions are helpful. Sorry for the long dialogue.

Actually I'm glad somebody pull this kind of disscussion. Honestly I think this is well worthed.
Personaly It would be nice to obtain champ type dragon at early game introduction however I was not so luck to play at all.
So obtaining and winning tournaments is more difficult.
In my personal experience and believe me I have more dragons winned from tournaments and tales rather from breeding...single colour dragons are best and first choice when leveled up.
If you dont have it go for Dragon 1 when multiple colours are involved. Opponent first colour is one you should focus keeping in mind to avoid ALL 'bad colours'. If you can have colour that is good for all three opponents colour while beeing safe on 'safe side' go for it. Sure you can not always have ideal candidate for fight however avoid using high level dragons agains low level dragon like using lvl 15 on lvl 1 or 3 same goes for viceversa. I personally never won using lvl 1 on lvl 15 or 20.
Also for exmaple you could find many dragons which have yellow/red combo and only few which have red/yellow like firestorm, keep this in mind when choosing. So in short words colour order DOES mater, less is better and try to obtain rare/neutral colours like now passion (valentine). Olympus and metal would also perform good when @ lvl15.
Keep in mind that I dont have ANY diamonds or single type champ. This if my personal opinion, thoug not all share the same...

I have a good amount of Champion type dragons but i rarely use them during a tournament. Against chanpion i usually used, blue/green, yellow/red, purple/blue type against lvl 20 champion. Once that doesn't work, i will try black, pink hybrids. If that doesn't work, i would use white hybrids, if that doesn't work, i will use fairy, rainbow, gemstone hybrids.

The last Snugle leaderboard i level up Mithril and Congo , i want level up celestial too , but is much more expensive , i want to believe that is not so necesary for this tournament (spoiler: it wasnt ).

Unruly is an easy champion, in general i think that the events in valentine are low cost / easy to win

Have you tried Wardrum, Creator, maybe even if you have Beloved, my level 1’s have been huge, I would throw anything Pink, Black, champ or cosmic at it. Good luck
