oh it's wider than st petersburg
so many national dishes, and the guys are all from various culture. we can see dutch "santa", and british/english one.
only granpa frost is russian, together with his granddaughter snow maiden.
this one is actually more soviet "santa" than russian one. before soviets, russia was celebrating the same chrismas as other nations. near christmas, there was also orthodox day of st. nicholas (december 19), when children were looking for gifts in stocking that st. nicholas brought to them in the night 18/19 of december.
when soviets came, one of first things they did, they ruined hundreds of churches and ****ed or jailed thousands of clergymen: "religion is opium for the people", they said.
but they understood the old "panem et circenses" principle. they could not take away holidays from people, so they replaced many christian holidays with new soviet ones.
thus, st. nicholas turned into grandpa frost, and christmas celebration switched to new year celebration...

idk... i don't mind variety of santas, lol )))
and i don't mind granpa - my kid have +1 santa, so i'm sure she doesn't mind too: i/o one letter she always put 2 of them into freezer. one to st. nicholas, to get gifts dec 19 morning, and other one to grandpa frost, to get gifts midnight 31 dec / 1 jan )))
and fish... well, fish is one of jesus symbols, so why not?

Well, the joke's on me. If you sell a "Have" item, you no longer have it and must buy another one.

Don't sell until after the goal has ended! Lesson learned.

I found this goal to be a big, fat disappointment. But if others enjoy, I'm glad. At least someone is happy with it.

I don't know about the other recipes, but lutefisk is a traditional Christmas dish in Norway. My guess is they were trying for a United Nations XMas theme lol.

Also eaten in America, mostly by Minnesotans, I think. I'm familiar with the dish, I just don't like it (or eat it for Christmas.)

Storm8, could we please have things like Tamales and Lutefisk as LTO recipes and things like Gingerbread houses and Christmas Tree cupcakes in our Christmas goal ovens next year? Please?

    Pathetic.
I didn?t know anything about the Russian Santa but it fits very nice in my winter theme. I think it?s cute. I am sorry you don?t like the rewards and I hope storm 8 will come with some special Christmas offers so you can get some of the things you want anyway.

    Merry Christmas anyway
