We need to a breed Hoot Dragon at 8 hours, red and yellow.
We need to craft the following:
Nest decoration = 3 scrolls (each needs 4 books and 2 candles)+2 red gems
1 Bat Swarm deco (3 candles)
1 Flying Pumpwings deco (2 books and 1 candle)
Which means we need 14 Books and 10 Candles from the quests. We also need 2 red gems. This is assuming that our typical procedure of letting a crafted decoration wait until the next day to be collected counts. The tales prompts us to quest for 2 candles (chapters 4, 6) and 4 books (chapters 3, 5, 7, 9), leaving us 18 quests to squeeze in - since Dark Omen is breeding through chapter 7 and 8 I think most of those 18 extra quests need to be done by the end of chapter 6. Might be able to do some quests during chapter 9 - but for me, they need to be done before chapter 10 starts for my comfort. It'll depend on the breeding as to how difficult it'll be to finish up the quests.
Our food requirements are fairly typical of a tales:
Dark Omen Dragon to a level 14 is 234,975 food
Neo Bat Dragon to a level 12 is 110,460 food
Hoot Dragon to a level 6 is 1245 food
Total food required is 346,680 food.
Dark Omen is busy! 6 hours crafting, 7 hours hatching, 7 hours evolving three times, plus minimum of 24 quests, and unknown amount of breeding (twice). That's 106 hours PLUS breeding times.
Neo Bat will be busy once he's crafted during Chapter 7. 7 hours crafting, 6 hours hatching, 6 hours evolving three times, plus 3 different battles with Neo Bat. That is 31 hours plus whatever healing he goes through.
