Quest problem.

I am probably doing something wrong but want to check. Four times I have sent my moon dragon as specified on quest for comets liner core. All 4 times the dragon has come back with something totally unrelated. This time it was 4 lotus blossoms. I have never had a problem with a quest before, it it suppose to be doing this or am I doing something wrong? Or is there a glitch.

This is intended. When your Dragon goes on a quest, the Dragon can bring back different rewards and has a chance to bring back the Comet's Core which is a rare drop.
