The only strategy for these events now is to buy gems. No amount of strategic play will net enough points sadly.

Sad, but true. Considering giving up on most events - not worth it anymore. Rather save the space as much as I can.
In good old day - we got habitats and it was POSSIBLE to reach grand prize without gems. ( Most gem players still speed up the process or bought gems)....now they have just sucked out motivation to even take part in those.

The last one's i completed, yes right on time and not without spending, but now it's almost impossible to complete. Already spent a lot in my eyes, but not even close for community. Really dislike this type of events. It's hard to complete within 7 days and even than........
    I'm only playing FFS.
My forest name = Dragon Pool.

For events I normally go with rune prunes - 20 hours; in good old days it was certain way to reach final goal. Now - they are NOT enough.
Normally I only grow cherries and nuts - they give most food. But during events it is best if timers are as long as possible - so there would not be lost points between delays.

With 1 hour to go, I just got the Mouse milestone. No luck breeding the super rare animal and nowhere near the amount needed for community prizes even though I play multiple times per day. Very disappointed in this event. I used to get all prizes, but this is turning into a pay to play game that I just cannot afford. Hoping developers turn this around soon. I really like this game, but no sense playing if animals are always out of reach.
