But there are many OCD players like myself that prefer to keep certain 'special' types together despite their accompanying colors. Not to mention that soooooo many people are running out of land or are already out. Making this a 5 capacity habitat for coins would be a very generous gesture by S8/TL and show that they do care at least a little bit about their players.

I agree amerirish! There's too many Spooky type dragons being released for S8 not to have another habitat for them that can be bought with coins. It's the elemental, tarot and arcane fiasco all over again.

Got 2 Skelekings now. Too bad I can't trade one of them for gems. I'll have to sell the young one when I get Skelequeen. :-(

The proportion of treats and tricks being allocated for the events is very uneven, the treats are far fewer than the tricks by almost half as many. I have just crafted the SkeleKing but only have 10,500 treats for the SkeleQueen. The way they have structured it, you would be forgiven for thinking they only want you to gain the one and fork out gold for the other.

I noticed on the pop-up it says something along the lines of "pick your favorite"...
I have 8600 tricks (on track for Skeleking) and 5800 treats (will be about 5000 short for Skelequeen if I continue at the same rate, Buried Bones gives 2500 though I believe).
The way the treats are distributed you absolutely have to finish each event to get enough of them, we need around 600 treats per day yet the first few days of the events only give 100-300. So if you can't finish, you miss out on the big numbers needed to bring you up to that average.
For example, in the Leaderboard I missed out on the last 2 Treat milestones, I believe for a total of 2000 or so treats, and now it'll be close if I can make it to 2300 points to get the 2000 treats bonus.

Weird, a leaderboard is scheduled tomorrow instead of a Dragon Tales. The plot thickens. I hope that little change is a precursor to bigger changes involving the game itself (like the thing we all been wishing for). The dragons shown for the leaderboard are pretty interesting.
