I think the most reliable pairing, albeit a bit advanced, is a Crusader + Tropic match, with 6 possible outcomes, only one Common (Awoken), no Magic fails.
If you don't have a Crusader, get an Olympus and try that with Tropic. There are more common and rare fails, but still a reasonably short list of candidates.

What happens to all of these dragons that we sell? Do they go to good homes or is there something more sinister afoot?

Tropic X Water or Fire has only 3 outcomes. Awoken is the only common.I have none of these two here is why the only solution is the gold bars
Virtue X Water has 14 outcomes. 3 are commons: Love, Awoken, and Winter (Winter is the longest common fail at 12 hours).
Dino X Water has 16 possible outcomes. 3 are commons: Firegrass, Awoken, and Island (also 20 hours, so that doesn't help much).
Mythic X Water has 20 outcomes. 4 are commons: Awoken, Volt, Firestorm, Mist (Mist is the longest at 14 hours)
There is really no reason to EVER spend gold on a common dragon. Don't breed red and blue directly with each other. That is what adds purple (Magic Dragon) as a possible outcome. Use any other source of red, like how the pink of Virtue splits into red and white, with Water to avoid purples. A common dragon will always be the most likely outcome of any pairing.

and considering that the time is limited I do not have 3 weeks to do test it would be good to give me the means to buy it
You need to breed Olympus with a blue-red combo dragon, not with either a red or a blue one.yes it is 3 months and I still have the same problem because of dragon cursed
