For me buying the extra roost early on helped out heap. I have been able to play religiously recently but with that I was only about 200 short at the end. I did spend some gold to get through the tournament more quickly & a bit more to pop nearly finishing eggs/breeds off.

I just do straight up Air + Forest for these commons - the worst fail is 18 hours (super rare). My first try, 4 hour Loch Ness fail......

Thanks to everyone on the Bingo advice but I found that it's just one more drag on my time with the endless events on top of events. Also, no matter how hard I tried, I never made much headway due to the competition aspect of Bingo. If it were an individual system I might feel differently. I HATE competing against other players in this game, it's not what I signed on for when I began playing. Also, it often requires breeding a particular dragon which is beyond frustrating especially when there are LTO dragons available for only a short amount of time. Uggh, sometimes I feel like I'm in an unhealthy relationship with this game. Like, why do I subject myself to this level of stress and disappointment?

Got the second dragon at the very end. Wouldn't have been possible without Bingo boosts (I had only one x10, but x5 did the trick too) and some gold. It's s a pity there was no community prize dragon this time, though.

I finished with about 3,517 points. I am honestly so sad and disappointed in the direction this game has taken. I don't want to quit because I've spent so much time, effort and money over the years but I just don't have anywhere near the level of enjoyment anymore. I really don't know what to do.

I feel the same, too much invested to quit, I would take a break, but would not be right to let gold receiving neighbours down.

They completely flipped it for me. World Events used to be fun leisurely, while I used to stress out about completing the goals for a Dragon Tales. Now I'm almost relieved to have a "break" with a Dragon Tales where I know I can complete all the goals with a small handful of gold spend if absolutely necessary. Now that Forest Party now supercedes WE, its as stressful as keeping pace at Leaderboards on top of the few hundred gold I had to spend on the roost and finishing up.

I can't really use up Bingo boosts as I sort of gave up Bingo to focus on my real life relationships, and actually breed for what dragons I actually want. I have a few 10x bingo boosts and more than 500 bingo tickets saved up, but am now in the Timber league so I have to use these up carefully.

I found it works for me 9 out of 10 to use the needed colors and diamond.
