I still feel like a newbie but here's my experience.
I've done over 10 (free) boosted breedings so far and bred 3 Commons, 5 Rares and 3 Ultra-Rares (which are also my very first Diamond anything!). The Commons were also very pleasant, 2 Loves and 1 Hermes (which I didn't have).
I'm VERY happy considering that I tried the Diamond Temple earlier this year and bred mostly Commons, a few Rares and 1 Super Rare.
I used boosted breeding with the diamond temple and got some crazy results (see my sig). I think at least back then, boosted breeding also increases chances of ultra rares.
