Is there any other way to get worms, other than hitting rocks? You should get at least one worm for every time you hit a rock. You have to use up so much energy just to get enough worms for one feed. Grrr!!!

I would just like to once again ask that S8 end the timer once a player reaches Part 11 and allow him/her to finish in their own time. Think of it in terms of Sister, Sister and Sir Daisy grooming mitts. I for one would certainly appreciate this change. I posted a longer message about this earlier today.
Lol! Good one. And it makes sense...those poor chickens have been plucked to death. The survivors who don't end up roasted need those worms to regain their strength.
As I said earlier in this thread, I am feeling certain I will complete this one without spending any cash or gems. That wouldn't be the case if I had a 9-5 job. I think we all realize by now that these quests are designed to make money for S8. I hope that S8 is starting to realize by now that this may not be the best way to do that.
It's really not that complicated. Make the quests fun again and people will feel more generous. Or make the prizes worthwhile and people may not 'feel' more generous, but they will spend $$ to get a great prize. Hours and days and weeks of intense play for another source of wood or wheat is an insult. And the people who actually need another source of fur and rat tails more than likely will not be able to complete this type of quest.
I don't need the griffin drops, and I can't say it's been fun, but since the main story has been abandoned in favor of these relentless and endless timed quests, there isn't anything else to do. So, I'm reluctantly chopping, planting, picking and plucking. But I will not buy energy and I will not lose sleep. If I complete it...okay. If I don't finish......no biggie. I will not be losing any sleep or wasting any money on it. And even the most die hard among us will eventually get fed up.
Ps. There is no way I will believe that the drop rate for worms is not being manipulated. I'm down to 2 worms per small rock pile. I'm chopping through twice as many rock piles to get 20 worms now. I had been consistantly getting 4-5 per small pile at first.

For part 10, one needs 10 sky stones.
I'm part way through part vii, ugrading the nest to level 4, and I finally looked at what's required for the rest of the quest and I am officially giving up. I'm level 18, so I barely made it to the quest threshold, and it is completely undoable. Firstly, I only just finished Ivy's house when it started, and even with building the conservatory I have a total of 2 piles of seeds. Secondly, everything else that is entirely too impossible for lower level players to complete in this quest. I just wish I could get back the thousands and thousands of coins I spent gathering all 25 skystones and the hundreds and hundreds, possibly thousands, of energy spent harvesting insane amounts of wheat and collecting from chickens long after I had maxed out on eggs and roast chickens. This warning might be way too late, but any other lower level players, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, ENERGY, OR MONEY (real or in game) on this stupid, impossible, stupid quest. This game is adorable, and I was really enjoying it until a few days ago. Now, I might keep playing, but the shine has definitely dulled.
P.S. Seriously, Storm8 people or TeamLava or whatever you are called, a coin or energy refund of unused nesting straw or sky stones would make me insanely happy. I don't have high hopes for this plea, but I do have high amounts of regret for resourses wasted so far, so what the hell. Please?
I agree, there is no way to complete the timed events without using lots and lots of gems, it started out fun and manageable and now it's obvious I'm wasting my time as no matter how often I play there won't be enough energy or materials available to complete in the time given.
