I don't think any of this game is "random". Everything is fixed a certain way. You will wind up getting some of the items for your orders from the street market, the same as sometimes the orders will end up being what you stocked on your counters. However, the odds are stacked against us. The game is set up to try to find ways to make you want to spend gems. But, they know they have to allow you some relief by sometimes giving you a break too. So, they fix the game to make it frustrating enough in the hopes you will spend money/gems, but not so frustrating that you will quit the game. But, sometimes they make it too frustrating because they don't know where that line in the sand is. When they lose players then they know they've gone too far.Originally Posted by phatzs

From this perspective, I think rs2 have pretty good chances to obtain ingridient you missing, or get a request for recipes that are on the counter (for cruise event) :>

Just started playing this game after installing it a year ago to get gems for castle story. This is my first cruise and probably my last. At first it was a lot of fun, but now It's asking for dishes from items I don't have. I can't even buy a deli ( no money ) and its wants a sandwich from that. Just leveled up and immediately wants a dish that I haven't learned yet. I've already spent all my gems speeding up timers. This game is a money pit.
I've just finished the goal and I'm happily cooking the Holiday Tree Rolls on the new oven! To be honest, apart from today which was truly brutal with mostly 1 & 2 coin dishes, hardly wanting any pre-prepared dishes and constant refreshing I found the cruise quite a lot of fun. I've had a quite Christmas so I haven't had anything better to do!So far I've managed to complete all cruises and I hardly ever spend gems unless they're gems I've earned from playing other S8 games or that I've earned from recipes. I am max level and have plenty of pantry space and everything unlocked so I can imagine it to be a lot harder for lower levels and new players. If you feel you can't complete the end goal, at least do as much as you can to earn the other rewards so your efforts are not in vain. Good luck to you all!
Has anyone posted the info for the recipes on the oven? I'm falling behind and I'm not sure if the oven is really worth the stress to try and catch up

The gem values for the orders vary according to restaurant level.
I am with you guys, had tons of 1 or 2 coins dishes. Hopefully it gets better towards the later days.
