Unhappy The end of it all - games going away

So, we have another month to play the MMORPG games like Kingdoms. After years of playing, building our characters, doing what we could to combat the infernal spam, supporting each other when we didn't get support from the powers that be... all of it will be gone.

It's not really unexpected -- it was obvious with the way most of the games were no longer listed in the Google Play store that it would end eventually -- but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

My account, MarkaRagnos ATM, racked up over 11.3 million losses (all natural, no bots used), and I got to know some good people.

I can't tell you how many times I wrote to Storm8 and offered up my block list of hundreds and hundreds of spammers so they could clear out those accounts, but they never did it. I think if they had dealt with it instead of ignoring it, a lot more people would still be playing.

It feels like the end of an era.

    Take care, all.

Yeah, this is a hard thing to digest. Still keep looking at that banner on the top of the screen. Wish they had left at least one MMORPG game for players to migrate to.

I agree with you peaceetc. Years of playing all down the toilet. This obviously won't be the last time it happens. Current and future games will experience the same termination, wasting all the effort of the players. Goodbye Storm8 .

Yup I agree. I spent 6 years and money on Kingdoms Live and was taking my time to 300. I enjoyed the game cause it was simple and easy to play. I've gained some new friends and enjoyed playing against other players. I too weathered the storm with all of the spamming and players *****ing. KL was the only game I played on my phone. Now I am done playing games, s8 other games are for kids and does not interest me. Good bye everyone. It was a good 6 yrs. Everything has to come to an end.

You know those honor points, and the Storm8 market where a player can convert very real money into in-game goodies?
I have never participated in that market. I grew everything from the ground-up, and have a massive amount of income generating buildings. From that foundation, I built an incredible sized military.
But I can't imagine how it's going to feel for those World War players who have dedicated very real money into the game, as the World War game server comes to a close! That almost seems like a scam.

I must have missed something, where is it stated they are pulling the servers? My thoughts were they were no longer supporting the application after the 26 Oct 2015 and that the app would still remain on their servers. Or this is just a dream?

In that case - I am pi$$3ed thoroughly lol. I am one of the suckers that actually spent real money, at least 200 dollars 2nd year into the game... WW, RL and iMobsters. And now only to learn they are pulling the plug - hrumph. I am peeeeeed off right now.. lol I guess this is the begining of the end. And they try to entice me to playing their other BS games - no thank you.

Au'revoir everyone, so nice to have wasted my time all these years!! All 3 games are around level 260 and quite strong accounts too - all these years... Bye Bye!

8sassin: The 2nd to last paragraph from the announcement to close support for games such as World War, etc., would seem to suggest the shutting-down of servers.
Upon initially reading this announcement, I was half thinking the servers would remain up, just no further support would be provided when problems occurred.
BUT, the words within the following paragraph would seem the servers themselves are also going to be shut down, per the words: "shutting down certain titles". It would seem easy to interpret that as you might well attempt continuing to play after the October 26th deadline. But that no actions would materialize per any pressed button. Not sure how you would even access your games main menu any longer after the 26th, as the servers would seem to be all reformatted. Would hope your personal information in purchasing in-game content with very real money, continues to be preserved. Best wishes!

"As mobile devices and their operating systems continue to change, shutting down certain titles will allow us to better serve you, our players, and focus on developing new games that we know you will enjoy."

This is typical s8. Never solve or work on updating the games people actually like, instead they take ur money and run! And all they offer us as replacement games is some farming or candy [] smfh. Whats the point in checking out their new games on play store when all they are going to do is shut them down? Robbing [] the lot of you!

What games are you talking about that we will enjoy? All the other games are kids game. Games like KL and WW are for adults to play. Why not focus on games that reach out to others besides kids? I am not trying to be harsh or anything but ppl have spent time and money building up those accounts. Why not stay loyal back to those playing those games for years? All the kids games are temp while the other games have long term commitment. I've never seen a company not care about their loyal customers and ignore them. It is what it is.
