Look at the "sticky" forum post called Restaurant Story Game Guide (it's in the first ten or so posts)...scroll down a bit and it shows you the parts and quantities needed for each appliance. Once you decide on an appliance, you can leave a post on your wall and on neighbors' walls asking for those parts, if you want to collect them before building. A more efficient plan would be to request the parts directly from the appliance once you've purchased it, and those parts you receive don't count toward your daily 20-gift limit. But you can send just 20 requests per day, so request from your most active and dependable neighbors. (If you select more than 20 neighbors when requesting parts, 20 requests will send that day, 20 more will send the following day, and so on, until they're all sent.)

I think all the info you need is posted in the master list thread. Browse through the stickys, you'll learn a lot and it helped me so much!
