How do I get Castle Story to use the SD card for data?

    Hi,

I'm using Castle Story on an android phone. The phone has quite a small internal memory (about 1GB) but I have a lot of space on a micro-SD card (32GB). I have the default storage location as the SD card, and the Castle Story app itself is mostly stored on the SD card (84.34MB on the SD card compared to 4.78MB on the phone). However, all the data Castle Story downloads - so far 195MB - seems to end up on phone, where there isn't space for it, rather than on the SD card where there is plenty of space. I can't find anywhere in the settings where there's an option to store the data on the SD card so please could you help me out,

    Thanks

Sorry about this. Unfortunately, your downloaded files will be on your device instead of your SD card at the moment. We'll look into this for you!

For those of us who want to play a lot of your games, this is a major issue. I cannot download candy mania valentines on my new device because it is full.
The only games I have are yours, and I don't want to un-install them to make space.
Now is the time to enable install to SD as standard.

Ok, I now have had to remove games to achieve goals.
I can't re install them because I don't have the space.
I don't want to lose my neighbours so please help.
Get your coders to make sure all future updates not only overwrite previous versions, but include the option to install to SD.

Do you have a lot of pics on your device? Or just the games? If your pics are taking up major space, move them to your computer & back them up on a disk or 2.

Help i am maxed out too, play RS, BS, CS on my quad core tablet which unfortunately has only 1 GB of ram space......what i can store on the secondary built in sd card i have not moved over.....CS takes up 650 mb now under apps; only a small part can be written to the sd card. Today got the message that my storage on the primary ram is maxed out at 900mb.........even after removing the candy games etc etc....primary emphasis for me is BS & RS so i will have to remove CS otherwise. PLEASE OFFER A SOLUTION, other games from other developers i CAN install on the internal SD which still has 3 GB of space. I am a regular gem buyer so i expect an answer and hopefully a workaround !

I would be very interested in this option too. I haven't been able to play CS on my iPad since the last update and it looks like lack of RAM could be a factor. If I could move the data to the SD card it might make the difference. It is a 1st generation iPad and I only use it to play TL games. CS is such a resource hog that I keep it a clean as possible and only run the minimum number of games at any time (currently 3, BS and RS being the other 2).

    Any update PikaSquirrel?

From your main Android screen, open the menu that shows all your apps (on mine, it's on the top right). You should see all of your apps on that screen.

For all of your most frequently used apps, open the App Info menu screen (drag it onto the App Info icon). This should open a screen with the buttons to Force stop (don't touch this), Uninstall (don't touch), Clear data (don't touch), Move to SD card or Move to tablet, and Clear cache.

If the third button reads Move to SD card, tap it. If the cache amount is fairly large, tap the Clear cache button. This will free up more of your memory for installing apps. The downside is that the very next time you run that particular app, it will probably take more time to load and/or run slower. This will only happen once.

Do this for enough apps and it could free up enough memory to download the next app or update.

Storm8 ended one of their long-running games with ZERO warning on May 13, 2015. No warning, no notice, no transition for anyone to convert their premium items or list of neighbors.

Think about THAT before you spend money on any of their other games.

I have an Galaxy Tab 4 using Android. I can move DS, RS, BS and PS to my SD card. However, the newest games (RS2, CS, FS2) won't allow me to download to my SD card. When I go into my App manager and click on "move to SD card", I then get a message "Unable to move to SD card". My SD card has 27+gb available. So what's the problem? Must be something within the code itself.
