No new shop goals in Pet Shop Story

In Pet Shop Story, I have had the same few goals I started with originally months ago. I'm down to 4 goals now with no new ones being added. Is this normal?

Yes, perfectly normal. When you first start a game, you get a bunch of goals to help you get started. After that, you're free to play however you want. Sometimes though, around holidays or special events, TL releases bonus goals as an occasional treat/nuisance, depending how you look at it, or how many of them are released at once across all the games

Thanks. But I installed the Summer and Labor Day editions of the game and still didn't get any new goals. The also keeps saying "New" but doesn't show any new goals, which makes me wonder whether there's something wrong with my game. I play Dragon Story too, which has a couple of new goals every few week.

I have an Android device, and I just wanted to check, because in Dragon Story, Android users get very little of the complete game.

Also, I was hoping new goals would help me earn some much needed gems. :-P

Even if you install older versions, you will not get any new goals, as they usually expire after 30 days. I sometimes wish dragon story didn't have so many goals, it sets people's expectation of the other games too high and other games aren't as easy to complete goals in as DS. There's nothing wrong with your game, again, this is perfectly normal.

Hmm.. I wonder why the word "New" keeps flashing next to the list of goals.

It's some kind of a glitch, to me it usually happens if I don't completely exit the game, especially if the game is on and pacific midnight hits, it causes all kinds of problems. I never had such problems on ios, but on android I've just gotten myself used to always closing each game completely after I'm done checking on it and if midnight pacific comes around, exit quickly before 00:00 hits, then log on at like 00:01 and everything works normally.

Aah, I see, thanks. One last thing I wanted to check: I installed the Summer and Labor Day editions of the game when they first came out and not later, but still didn't get any specific goals for these editions. Is this how it was for others as well?

Yes, those two versions didn't have any goals related to them, it was just new items in pets and decorations. Most updates are just new items, goals are mainly for holidays, like easter, xmas, valentine's, st. patrick's and halloween. What's nice about having individual version though, is that even when they remove the items from these version off the store, you can still have access to buying them from the specific version that relates to each item.
