I have been playing for a long time now. And after they introduced the goals to get extra gold and stuff willing to start from scratch, also partly because of the same problem others are having with the time levels the last move 'stealing' your gold.
I did try and deinstalled the app and reinstalled even deleted the permission on Facebook but as soon I start it goes to the level I am at the moment.
Does anybody knows how to start from level 1 again?

In order to start from the beginning you have to buy a new device or transfer your old account to a different device. Otherwise, you can't.
I play all the games but these days I have been showing more interest in Farm, Bakery, and Pet Hotel Story. But I do check the other games like three times a week. =)
I too wanted to start over and my nephew wants to play. I think it stinks that you can't start over. Is it safe to assume that you can't have more than one player per device, either?
