I've been playing for years and have bought tons of everything and watered tons of everything and never gotten either.

That's why I asked. I've been playing for over a year and I haven't gotten n e lost toys and I have the spurs and the chaps on cool cowboy.

I've been playing since 2010 and have one paddle ball lost toy and nothing for cool cowboy. Didn't get collectables on Android until Dec 2011.

I have yet to see one display a cool cowboy. I have loads of beehives, tool sets 6 of the gold draw wagons, 3 of the car in the garage. I have 2 pieces to the cool cowboy and no pieces to the lost toys. It would be nice to hear what other people have collected in the collectables and how they got them.

could the animals and garden decor be gem purchases (of limited-time only animals/decor)? would be a/the reason mastering is difficult.

It's been said that buying gem items does not increase chances of getting certain collectibles.
