I have noticed that if I cook a dish multiple times, I begin to go up ranks, such as Apprentice of Omelets, Master of Omelets, etc. Does anyone have a list of rankings?
TeamLava: a very nice addition to this game would be listing the ranking of a person's cooking for each food. It would make people want to try to get the very highest rank in each food!

This is something I have been asking myself recently as well.
I did some research on a new menu item and found the following.
The first Level is reached after 57 chef hats.
The second Level is an additional 101 (? 1) chef hats.
Not yet complete however, hypothesizing that the menu advances are linear in nature, the the following levels will be achieved at the following rate.
Third Level = Second Level plus an additional 179 (? 4) chef hats
Fourth Level = Third Level plus an additional 317 (? 10) chef hats
The third and fourth level are not yet tested but the numbers seem to be inline with what I have observed.
I will let you know how it works out, however the development team could help.
An update and what I found.

is there a bonus associated with chef level?
do you receive any bonus for chef level? for example, do you earn more money or produce more units when cooking a dish at executive chef level? fs has a bonus for reaching rank 4.
