Do NOT buy the Makeup Counter - Read

Do not buy the makeup counter, it's a scam... once you buy it you will be prompted to pay another 80 gems just to assemble it. After 2 days of thinking if I should buy gems to get the makeup counter or not, I finally bought 100 gems for $20, then bought the makeup counter to find out that i need 80 more gems just to assemble it. On top of that, I accidentally bought one of those mystery boxes when I was just trying to figure out what it was. I was so happy to get the makeup counter, but now I'm so angry that I am uninstalling this game and calling my bank to hold charges for this purchase.
I don't understand why they couldn't just make the game fun, without gems that are so expensive, ads that are so invasive, and tricks and traps to steal all the gems you have. It's really mind blowing that I even made it 2 days into this game before realizing what a rip off this is.

I love my makeup counter too...and i requested all the materials to build it so it really only cost me the initial 36 gems

Ummm.... is this just because you refuse to request materials from neighbors?

You never have to spend the extra gems after purchase unless you just don't like asking for help from neighbors.

The icon for the makeup counter shows it is a constructible item which requires either wasteful gems or getting help from neighbors.

Except for the fact I have to keep asking neighbors for items for the goals, I'd already be done with my counter. However, I have almost 300 neighbors and I refuse to uncheck hundreds just so I can split the requests so I just wait every 24 hours.

I don't understand? I payed 36 gems to place the makeup counter and now it says I have to pay 80 to assemble it? How did you get it and only pay 36 gems? I was given no option to request materials to build it... is there something I am missing?

Do you have neighbirs? I think it wont give you the option to request materials if you actually have no neighbors to request them from. Check the "add me" thread for neighbors!

you can request from nbrs, but if you dont want to request, you CAN use the 80 gems to skip. no ones forcing you to use them to skip.

I see where I have that option now... Unfortunately, while I was placing wall paper, I just accidentally bought ANOTHER mystery box, and got the exact same gift (The angle wings). Ugh, makes me so angry... I wish it would prompt me for this before I spent my gems. I spent $20 and got 2 things I didn't want to buy, didn't get the wall paper that I did want, and still don't have a functioning makeup counter.
I wrote Team Lava and asked them to please delete my game, my account and refund me my $20... I'd be so happy if that happened. I seriously doubt it will though... I will be better off just calling my bank.

when you click on the makeup counter, you will have an option to complete for gems, or there is a button ask friends,
If you ask friends your nbr screen will come up , it does take longer to build it , but it is free to build.

When you send these requests to nbrs, it does not cost them anything to send the parts to you.
