I force close the game every time I leave it. I've also uninstalled and re-installed the game as well as shut down and restarted my device. I do all these things before I post about a problem. But thanks.

It doesn't matter how many times you force close, remove, reinstall because the bug isn't on our end.

As I said before here, lost 70k to 90k coins for the fryer and just can't get it checked!

Let's do the math here, users!

TL gave us 7 recipes (3 from oven, 1 from stove, 1 from drink machine, 1 from roaster, 1 from fryer) and that amount to 14 gems. Assuming you are able to master all these 7 recipes before TL yank them away, what you getting out of it is 4 gems if you skip the snowman waiter task (0.285 ROI); again assuming the remaining 3 locked recipes don't have to buy/skip gem item task). And if you bought that snowman waiter (24 gems), needless to say it's a minus ROI aka a lost in investment.

So what are 4 gems out of all these fiasco worth plus all these frustrations due to never ending glitches? It's a miserable $1 worth of gems! Please note I'm not targeting anyone in particular but just thought it might be helpful to step back and think from a clearer head.

Though I have more than enough to buy a few snowmen but I refuse because by doing so I'm encouraging TL that this form of biz dealing is acceptable. Every app game has tools to track what in-game items have been bought, the question is how sophisticated the tools the app publishers are using; and how much they want to admit and credit you for if you lost your gems through whatever means.

    Merry Xmas everyone
I'm going to my math in BS soon LOL

    Oh I forgot to add...

If you just finish/master whatever you are stuck at, your ROI from playing is between 6 to 8 gems (100% ROI minus your playing time); that being said, time is very subjective base on individual perspective of how much leisure time they've got.

    Merry Christmas

As mentioned in another thread, I'm not doing any quest that requires me to spend gems.

And you're right, 7733397, it's no fun to be rushing your guts out by trying to unlock recipes that will b yanked on January 13. Games are supposed to be FUN. For me, one of the main reasons I like sims games is that, for the most part, you can play them leisurely, they are stress free. If I wanted stress, I'd play a shoot-'em-up or RPG, or other time based game.

Getting bored now that I've made it to level 76. I'm maxed on appliances, only have one expansion left to conquer, getting tired of cooking virtual food, and the "carrots" offered by TL to keep it interesting are much smaller than the "sticks" provided by new gifting system and quests. (If you don't spend gems, you won't get the new recipe. What kind of incentive is that?)

Just to clarify, the holiday appliances and goals, will be taken out of the game on the 13th, but the locked foods and drinks will stay in the game longer.
So as long as you have built at least one each of the holiday appliances you will still be able to continue mastering the locked receipes after the 13th.

Others have also wanted to know if they will be able to have extended time with the holiday items due to the issues. Holiday items & quests are currently scheduled to be removed on Jan. 13; players will receive a notification via popup the week prior informing them of the removal of these items. Also, please note that while some recipes are Holiday Themed that are received from Quests, ALL recipes unlocked via quests will be available beyond the limited time.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

So... it's nice to finally hear an official date... although I can't find this post/thread anywhere, so I don't know if this was asked there or not.

My question is... are there ANY recipes being removed on Jan 13th?? Any recipes that were NOT acquired thru a quest?? It's been confusing as to which are holiday and which are not, other than quest recipes. So can we please know NOW exactly what is being removed??? PLEASE!?!?!?!?!

So far, the only recipe that is for sure being removed is Morning Cheer, all others currently on RS have been part of goals/new appliances (I believe). The ability to purchase additional new appliances (fryer, roaster, etc), will also be removed, but you will keep the ones you have (even in storage), and can continue to cook the recipes on them. I'm not sure if the recipes on the new appliances will be removed at some point, but they should not be part of the January 13th.
Whenever you are having issues, try these two things first - restart your device,
and delete and reinstall the app. Your progress is saved on TLs servers.

In case it wasn't mentioned, the Goal recipes must be unlocked in order to access them once the seasonal content have been removed.

THANK YOU!!! Thanks for the response!! I know this is technically an RS thread, but I have to ask... what about BS? I don't remember any recipes that weren't related to the special appliances/quests... so are there any on there that is being removed on the 13th, again not related to quests... like similar to Morning Cheer... ? Thanks!

And yes Daojin, I do understand that... as long as we already have completed the goals and built the required appliance... that's a very NICE change and greatly appreciated!!!

For BS, the recipes not related to quests are Chocolate Cherry Trifle and Red Velvet Cookies.

For RS, the Holiday Drink Machine and its drinks, Spiced Egg Nog and Holiday Smooties, are not related to quests. I assume the machines and drinks will be removed also. So unlike the goal constructables, where you can continue making your recipes after Jan 13, the holiday drinks should be removed on Jan 13 based on GM's post.
