problems with gifts

In mine when I accept someones gift, that person may stay in my newsfeed but my accept button is greyed out since I had already accepted that gift.
Also later when someone pops back in my box showing me it is now time to gift them( I could not gift them earlier) my accept button is greyed out
since I had already accepted a gift from them already.

I'm not having any trouble! I actually like the new system.

Before, if I gifted someone and they couldn't receive a gift because they had received 20 already I couldn't try again for 24 hrs. Now, I can try again and again and again until it does go through. I usually only check on my stories 2-3 times a day, but I have tested this and eventually I was able to gift every single one of my neighbors during the day.

I need to understand this too- I keep seeing gifts that are pending from hours or days before. Why don't they then come through when I am able to accept them?

I could also use a guide for how to gift people- I usually select a neighbor, click gift, and then send gifts to everyone who pops up. I do that several times a day and basically just hope that I have gifted everyone. (BTW I always gives black pumps except when I get a tude about receiving so many nurses outfits lol)

Perhaps, since I usually visit all my neighbors at just after midnight, I should wait and gift them each at the same time? Is there a connection between my giftin and my being gifted?

now i undetstand why gifts from days ago pop up in newsfeed. that is because that ngbrs is at that moment able to accept new gifts, am i right?

what i still do not understand is that i get gifts without button accept but only buttons use gift & gift back. use gift is 'burning red' but when i click on it nothing happens. it is not because of max. when i get gifts few min later with button accept then i can receive and use that gift in catalog. use gift never works. the gift does not appear in catalog.

that is my understanding. I do like it because it gives me another chance to gift them if they were not ready when I was visiting earlier.

Why do I still have pending gifts showing from two days ago that I cannot accept? Wouldn't they become available to me before another newer gift? The gift thing is very confusing.

I sometimes have pending come up a few days ago. It means I did accept from that nbr but at the time I tried to gift they were not ready. This seems to be reminder that they are now ready for a gift.
I usually just go and send them the gift.

That makes some sense but why then is "gift back" not available to me? Tonight, right now, I have FOURTEEN pending gifts spanning back three days and noe have any highlighted buttons whatsoever. It is very frustrating.

I thnk that it is a bug when your gift back button is greyed out. You can go into Neighborhood and the Gift button is lit. You can attempt to send a gift from Neighborhood.

If you send a gift back to the neighbor the message in the pending gift list will often be removed from the list. Sometimes when you attempt to send a gift back to the neighbor and the neighbor is maxed out, the message will be removed; sometimes it won't. Sometimes you cannot get rid of the messages no matter what you do, and will need to wait for them to timeout.

There are still bugs in the gifting system and the priority for fixing them is somewhere in between developing new content for iDevice users and developing new content for Android users.

Earlier this week I asked GM about the greyed out gift back button. He has not responded, but he typically does not respond to his customers.
