easy bake oven

what is the opinion out there on purchasing an easy bake oven? is it worth it? what does it do exactly?

U can still buy those at toys r us, for about 35 bucks US, they cook small cakes etc. Lol


Yes there better as u only need one Tap to prepare and one tap to finish. I like them.

But you lose chef hats because you aren't doing as much tapping, so mastery takes longer. Plus they cost twice as much and take forever to make after requesting all those parts, which take up spots for food gifts. The look if them is better though in my opinion I just don't use them.

But once built they cook foods same as conventional oven etc, I'll have to check on the mastery xp. I assumed TL evened it out, hmmmm.

I don't think they did. There were a lot of threads on it when they first came out. You only lose a couple chef hata for those couple of extra taps, but when you're cooking the dish 100 times it adds up lol

I also thought the issues with the easy appliances were fixed and they were the same as basic appliances as far as XP and mastery go. I have recently been able to build the appliances and they seem to be the same.

In RS I compared for french toast. The XPs are different when cooking and serving, but at the end the same XP is given.

There are 3 chef hats for the easy appliance and 7 for the basic. But on BS I have been making Blueberry Buckle all week on a combination of easy and basic appliances as I started building them now, and they seem to be on track to master. Maybe its just a display problem, and internally they are incrementing the mastery points the same. I'll try on a new recipe if they release an oven item on BS this week and see if it takes more than twice as long to reach Level 1.

So, it sounds like all of you are saying that they cook items the same speed as the regular oven, but just less taps to do so, which in the end gives you less points. Not sure why one would bother then.

I think its giving you the same amount of chef hats but not displaying it right. My post was wrong - it says you get 1 hat when you cook and 3 when you serve, but I think you get the 7 you would with a regular oven.

The extra tapping doesn't bother me; I'm used to it. I'm building the ovens in Bakery Story since it gives me something to do now besides waiting for the weekly updates and the very slow process of getting to Level 96.
