    Need fast income

I'm new to restaurant story, and was wondering what is the fastest way for income? I'm pretty much broke and failed to follow the game's directions the first time. Right now I'm just cooking with two stoves and serving food as much as I can so money builds up. I have 2 counter tops to place the cooked meals. Every time I get a pretty good amount, I try to buy 1 to 2 pieces of furniture or a stove. Is it basically just going to be a matter of waiting for everything to cook and the money to flow in? I mean, these dishes take hours upon days to cook, and I rarely get tipped only having 4 tables(4 tables = 2 big tables with 2 chairs each). I have no gems left either. I know I probably sound like a complete noob, but this game is really interesting and I want to go big.

Income flow is pretty slow thanks to the preset rate at which food is consumed. There should be 2-3 dishes that require 1, 15, or 30 minutes to cook. Start with those first, and by the time you've mastered them completely you should at least be able to keep your costumers happy. As a new player, the best bet for buying furniture is to focus on the cheapest table and chair and buy only those until you've managed to earn more money from your food. There isn't really a fast way to level, but if you have neighbors, gifts of stew are the best ones to accept since they'll earn you the most money out of any gift.

Once you reach level 8 you'll be able to start mastering foods, and you'll get 1 gem as a reward for reaching level 2 and 4 of a food mastery. You also only need one chair per table, customers only sit one to a table even if you add the extra chairs.

cook he little stuff and cook alot of it! dont buy anything but white tables and chairs and white counters. slowly add appliances and expand your restaurant. if you want to cook things that take a long time (like 12 hrs to 2 days) block your door with a chair. Then you wont run out of food overnight or when your away from the game for long peroids of time. When you get alot of tables go tip people and add good neighbors (3-4 stars). And keep your star rating at a four as well! Tip your neighbors everyday! Save your gems for things you really want or need! my advice is don't Hope it helps. Add me if you want. Post any questions you have on my wall and I'll try to help

The problem you're having is inevitable when you're just starting a restaurant, simply because you have no neighbors and very few appliances to cook with. No matter what you do as a beginner, you will be limited in coins to some degree, more or less. There are, however, there are some things (broken down by gaming aspect below) you can do to make sure you're leveling up and earning coins at the fastest possible pace.

    ***Cooking Food***

    1. Manage your cooking schedule:
Any time food is waiting idly to be cooked or served, you're losing profit. Settle on a schedule that fits your lifestyle (e.g., 8 hr items before bed and 2 hr items before the gym) and try to make your schedule as consistent as possible on a day-to-day basis so that you're less likely to forget to cook. Cooking batches of same-duration food -- or better yet, the same exact food -- also helps, since you won't have to go back multiple times to serve food that finish at different times.

    2. Select the most profitable foods to cook:
The type of food item you cook makes a world of difference in how fast you earn experience points (XP) and coins. As a general rule of thumb, foods that take less time to cook earn XP and coins at a faster rate. Just to give you an idea, french toast (1min) gives you XP at a rate 6 times faster than the second most profitable item (omelettes, 5min), 38 times faster than tomato bisque (8hr), and 69 times faster than boiled lobster (16hr). A simple rule is to cook the shortest foods that your schedule allows, cooking long foods only when you sleep, etc.

    3. Make mastering food items your priority:
The bonuses you get from mastering food items give you bursts of XP and coins (save your gems and worry about them later) that are enormous at your level. Focus on mastering food items by cooking the same foods repeatedly instead of cooking fewer plates of different foods, starting with the shortest foods.

    4. The big picture of maximizing profit:
I always hear people wanting to earn the most coins, but personally, I've always aimed to earn the most XP and paid absolutely no attention to maximizing coins. Whereas the amount of coins you have has no bearing on your XP, earning XP at a faster rate enables you to earn a lot more money in the long run. Maximizing XP means leveling up faster, and since you unlock more stoves and recipes as you level up, leveling up faster means you can start cooking with a larger number of stoves sooner, which enables you to serve more foods and earn more XP and coins.

    ***Buying Design Items***

    1. Just don't do it:
I know you want the midget with the pointy hat very badly, but buying decorations as a beginner will slow down your earnings and probably end up wasting your money (unless your first design was so good you stuck will exactly the same set of items forever). The only things you should be buying are basic stoves (I would just stick with stoves only so you can master faster), white tables and white chairs for customers and tips, and white counters for food.

    2. Always keep a sizeable chunk of coins available:
The worst thing right now is having downtime because you don't have money to cook food or because there were certain costs you didn't anticipate. You're in no rush to expand, so expand only when you need the space for chairs and such. The same goes for other items. Spend money by need, not want. You'll be able to do all that later.

    ***The Social Tab***

    1. For you, tips and food gifts are significant sources of XP and coins (accepting 20 stews as gifts gives you $15,000 per day). The best way to make the most out of this source of XP and coins is just to be pleasant and be proactive. Tip actively, tip as many neighbors as you can, and send out gifts every day. How you do it is up to you.

Do these things and you will earn XP and coins as fast as it gets; it'll get easier as you learn more and accumulate more property. Just keep in mind that sticking to the basics is the quickest way to get there.

Yeah, I see level 10 neighbors cooking 1 stew, 1 macaroni and cheese, and 1 grilled cheese, leveling up about once or twice a week all the time. I was doing the things I mentioned and was leveling up once a day when I was in my level 60s... Of course, I have some more advanced tricks up my sleeve... It's all in the numbers But yeah, I think it's important to establish a steady income and accumulate some resources before you start spending money and time and side activities.
