    Restaurant Story Cookbook!

I know this has been done before, but it wasn't that formal. I want to create a real cookbook wih every recipe in-game. The stove recipes don't need to be made on a stove and the oven recipes don't need to be made on an oven and the grill recipes don't need to be made on a grill.

You can chose a recipe off the list, and post the way you make it. (Ingredient List, Directions) I think this will be really cool, and I hope that TL can implement it into the game!

The list of recipes and the people that posted them:

    Stove
    -Omlettes
    -Fruit Salad
    -Bacon & Eggs
    -Grilled Cheese: Greygull
    -French Toast: Bawpotter

    -Plum Pudding
    -Curry
    -Mango Cake
    -Pork Buns
    -Quesadilla
    -Chicken Salad
    -Stuffed Mushrooms
    -Minestrone Soup

    Oven
    -Bagels
    -Valentine Cupcakes
    -Scallops
    -Pumpkin Pie

    -Roast Chicken
    -Creme Puff

    -Bruschetta: Bawpotter
-Thanksgiving Dinner: This one is a biggie, so beware. PM me about doing this one.
    -Ham
    -Chicken Alfredo
    -Crepe
    -Tiramisu
    -Rack of Lamb
    -Smores

    Grill
    -Hamburgers
    -Kabobs
    -Salmon
-Steak: Any type of steak, with any type of potato and vegetable.
    -Hot Dog
    -Grilled Corn
    -BBQ Chicken

That is it. Choose a food, post a recipe, and enjoy! After a few recipes are posted, I will have a mod update the list.

    My French Toast Recipe:

Hallah French Toast with Crushed Cornflakes

    Ingredients:

1 Hallah or loaf of Texas Style Bread
    7 eggs
    1/2 cup of milk
    Pinch of salt
    Tablespoon of sugar
    Cinamon to taste
2 cups of cornflakes (You may need more, but it all depends.)

    Directions:

    1. Heat up griddle and grease with butter
    2. Slice Bread into 1" thick pieces.
    3. Crush Cornflakes and put into a bowl
    4. Crack 7 eggs into a seperate bowl and whisk for about 2 minutes.
    5. Add milk, sugar, salt, and cinamon.
    6. Mix until mixture turns brown.
    7. Dip bread in egg, then cornflakes. Put bread on griddle.
    8. Cook for about 7 minutes on each side.
    9. Serve with powdered sugar and cinamon.

This is one of my favorite things to do for a weekend breakfast!

Oh - a trick I wanted to trade off, since you gave me a new idea - try adding a tiny dash of soy sauce into the batter instead of the salt. One of the chefs at a restaurant I use to work in, told me this. It wont be enough to actually taste anything distinctly soy sauce, but it does replace the salt as well as add an interesting flavor.

    My Waffle Recipe:

Belgain Waffles w/ Whipped Cream & Strawberries:

2 cups Aunt Jemima™ Pancake Mix
    1 1/2 cup milk
    2 eggs
    4 tablespoons of Canola Oil

    1. Measure 2 cups of Aunt Jemima™ Pancake Mix into a large bowl.
    2. Add milk, eggs and oil.
    3. Whisk (With wire whisk) for about 1 minute until batter turns yellow.
    4. Let batter set for about 5-10 minutes while greasing and heating up a waffle iron.
    5. Pour the batter into the iron and smooth out with a spoon.
    6. Let the waffles cook for about 3 minutes, and then check on them. If they are golden brown and well formed, take them out.
    7. Cover with whipped cream and strawberries.
    8. Enjoy!

Being from Texas, I've grilled and eaten just about every kind of meat there is. I'll start off with steak.

If it's a weekend I'll go to a butcher and get something nice, but on weekdays I'll usually just stop by costco or the grocery store and get something that's on sale. Mondays are a great day to do this as a lot of their overstock from the weekend is marked down and since you're going to cook it immedietly, it will be fine.

I coat with 4 spices before throwing onto the grill.

    Garlic salt
    Onion salt
    Garlic powder
    Onion powder

Grilling a steak is really easy and almost fool proof, as long as you've prepared your grill well. You have to make sure the coals are nice and hot. This means cooking them until they are turning grey. Walmart and other places sell a chimney charcoal starter which makes set up a breeze.

Throw steaks on the grill and cook about 7 minutes per side (flipping only once!!). Take the steaks off and let them rest a bit, coating each side with salt, and then serve by itself (no potatos, no vegetable). Do not waste precious stomach space on potatos when eating steak, if one steak isn't enough, eat two!
