Dragon Event: Victorian Victory and Battle Tournament: Gyro 1/17/25

    Hello Fellow Caretakers,

Welcome to the second event of January called Victorian Victory. Instructions will be provided for this event and the Gyro Dragon tournament later in this post.

Like with all events in Dragon Story, a common dragon needs to be bred to advance progress. The dragon needed for the second event of January is the Nightsail Dragon (metal, yellow, black). Along with getting extra event points, this dragon can bring Cogwheels to help craft the monthly Airship Dragon (metal, world, blue).

There are two major ways to get the Nightsail dragon.

One is to breed it by breeding yellow and black. WARNING: This combo can bring quite a few long hour fails like Penumbra, Wizard and Ambassador among others.

The other way, which is the usual case for most players, collect 15 Omega Crowns to craft the dragon in the Spell Shop.

Since there's no dragons previously released that have the elements metal, yellow and black together, the alternate way of breeding this combo with a pure diamond type will not apply here.

I got tired of trying to breed this dragon after a bunch of Wizard and Penumbra fails so I decided to craft it.

By the way, I absolutely love Nightsail. Though I don't like the Charm base for dragons, Nightsail looks so cool with the goggles on. Because of the unique element combinations and Nightsail's look, I may raise this dragon to level 15.

Here's the egg to look for if you're breeding:

In the Victorian Victory Event, there's a few targets to aim for:

150 Points: Win a case that can contain various prizes.
750 Points: Receive a Navigator's Lens that gives 20 event points every 2.5 hours.
1250 Points: Receive 5 Omega Crowns to help craft the common dragon.
2000 Points: Win a case that can contain various prizes.
3000 Points: Receive a Ship Wheel that gives 60 event points every 2.5 hours.
4250 Points: Win a case that can contain various prizes.
5750 Points: Win a case that can contain various prizes.
    7500 Points: Receive 5000 Food

10,000 Points: Silver Dragon (metal, blue) (super rare), 29-hour incubation, originally released for the Molten Metals Event in September 2017.

12,500 Points: Hatter Dragon (metal, blue, yellow) (super rare), 16-hour incubation, new dragon January 2025

Finish 1st or 2nd: Artisanal Dragon (metal, white, blue), (ultra rare) 18-hour incubation, new dragon January 2025

These are how many Cogwheels earned by hitting the 10 milestones. I will update as the event goes on. Look for edits. TBA (To Be Announced).

    1. 24 Cogwheels at 75 points
    2. 96 Cogwheels at 450 points
    3. 216 Cogwheels at 1000 points
    4. 288 Cogwheels at 1625 points
    5. 384 Cogwheels at 2500 points
    6. 480 Cogwheels at 3625 points
    7. 576 Cogwheels at 5000 points
    8. 672 Cogwheels at 6625 points
    9. 864 Cogwheels at 8750 points
    10. 1200 Cogwheels at 11250 points

A total of 4800 Cogwheels are up for grabs in this one.

There's also food prizes and trophies you can get by achieving point goals but you'll see them if you play the event.

    Good luck!

And now... to the Gyro Dragon Tournament.

    Gyro Tournament: 1/17/25

    Hello Neighbors,

I felt so good that I decided to do a tournament thread as well as the current event so here goes.

Welcome to the second full tournament of January (The Tournament ends on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time). The tournament boss is the Gyro Dragon, a beautiful recoloring of the Warmth Dragon. Win 30 rounds and this dragon can be in your storage. I listed the number of Cogwheels (in parenthesis) that can be won with each round. Cogwheels can lead to the ultra rare Airship Dragon - the monthly dragon (25,000 Cogwheels needed). 1518 Cogwheels are up for grabs in this tournament. Good luck!

Champions are very tricky. The go to dragons for most players are as follows, The ADDMIP Dragons of Achilles, Diamond, Dark, Metal, Infinity and Passion. Different dragons work on champions on different islands so don't think you're just limited to the ADDMIP dragons when facing a champion type.

    For the duration the tournaments:
If the tournament starts on a Friday and it's a normal 30 round tourney, it ends Wednesday at 11:59pm Pacific Standard/Daylight Time
If the tournament starts on a Tuesday and it's a normal 30 round tourney, it ends Sunday at 11:59pm Pacific Standard/Daylight Time

Flash tournaments (24 rounds) usually last 4 days.

How are you still playing this game. I am one of thousands who had been playing this game for 10 years at level 200 and have been locked out for over a year. I have made numerous requests to support and was told they were working on the problem and a fix would be available soon. Really miss this game
