Dragon Tales 6/11/24: Prehistoric Roar

Greetings Fellow Caretakers,

Here are the simplified directions to complete the first June Dragon Tales event, called Prehistoric Roar, the second event for Dinosaur Train June. Not only are the chapters and acts listed, I also put in the supplies needed and how many times the Composaur Dragon has to be sent on missions. I hope it helps all of you to get the Rex Skull Dragon. With no further ado, here's the chapters and I divided them up by levels.

Note: You can level up the Composaur, Angersaur and Ankylo Dragons to their required levels early and they will count. For most players Composaur needs to be at level 14, Angersaur to level 12 and Ankylo to level 6.
***If you are below level 80, then look at your level listing to see required levels for your dragons.***

Note: You can breed Ankylo Dragon early (breed green with white) and it will count when asked in Chapter 6. Warning: This combo can bring two long breeds - Pegasus at 26 hours and Elder at 27 hours. I wish I could suggest a way where Pegasus and Elder would be eliminated from the possibilities but there's no combos that I can see.

Note: For anyone who has difficulty breeding the common dragon for Dragon Tales events, you can skip the acts where that dragon is required for a total of 112 Gold.

Note: Got Ankylo on the second try after an Angel fail. Parents were Neo Diamond (diamond) and Aplomb (dino, white, green).

Note: You must have the Noble Crystal placed on your island in order to level your dragons past level 10. This is needed to participate in the Dragon Tales event. It's available in the market for 1000 coins.

Will it count toward the goal event, Chapter 2, Item #3, if you have a pair of dragons breeding and wait to claim them when you reach this goal, or do you need to specifically start breeding a pair when you reach this goal? Any help you can provide is really appreciated!

I have noticed that you often use the Neo Dragon together with a dragon of the required 'combined color combo' in order to somewhat successfully breed the 'common dragon" (in this case the Ankylo Dragon). Is there a reason why you use the Neo Dragon vs. the plain Diamond Dragon? I guess I am trying to decipher the difference between the Neo Diamond and the Diamond Dragon, in particular w/regards to breeding, etc.

There's no difference in elements between Neo Diamond and just plain Diamond for breeding purposes. I just use my Neo Diamond because it's convenient.
When I see a new common dragon that needs to be bred, I usually will look through my Dragon Story database on my computer to see if I have a dragon that possesses the same elements as the needed dragon. In this case I found I had an Aplomb Dragon with dino, white and green. I always try to breed the similar dragon with a pure (plain) diamond type dragon (Diamond, Neo Diamond or Infinity). Most times it gets me the dragon I need.

I completed this event earlier today and I have a question. We have the different goals that appear as small icons on the left and right of our screen (the left ones are found in the scroll). One of the goals that appeared Tuesday with this event is obtaining Rex Skull dragon as well as completing the Cretaceous Sanctionary (pic below). This goal appeared on the right side of my screen. I cannot recall what the reward was?? But I am writing because this goal has disappeared and I do not believe that I received w/e the reward was.

Is this something you can help me with?

Regarding these events, I often have a hard time finishing them due to the food requirement, do you have any tips on how you get so much food, I plant diamond dates mostly, on the dot, but I still struggle to get the food requirement.

Use your bombs/dynamite in the mines to get extra food. Also, the best economic way to get food fast is to plant upgrapes and collect every 10 minutes. You can get food by playing bingo too.
