usually yes, a guaranteed drop
and probably 1-3 tickets per visit (a few ticket droppers do that)

Until the event is finished for everyone we don't know for certain what drops if any are guaranteed. Unless a splash screen specifically says it then we have to wait. I have only seen the same screens in game as what's posted on page 1 towards the end so I can't confirm at this stage.

Hi, I started the game this morning, a day after launch. I think for previous games, I’d have been able to go straight to Chapter 2, but I have to wait till tomorrow to start Chap2, or am I having a brain freeze?

This is correct, each day after the day you start you can open the next chapter. So to open chapter 10 you can do it 10 days after you start the first chapter or auto start on Monday.
