Pet shop story pet glitch

I just re downloaded pet shop story. I got the chihuahua for the quest "The study of cuteness". Now it's only showing I have one chihuahua (it's a blank pad though. I cant actually see them. But when put into storage it only says x1) but next to the bred it has the check but not one by the mate? I'm so confused I just want my chihuahua family back.

Scroll to the very end of the shop until you reach the "locked by goal" pets. For me, there was a chihuahua for sale there for 600 coins, instead of the usual 25 gems it sells for. Buying that chihuahua will fix it! It works for all other goal pets that have this glitch.
