Same thing happened to me but my 1 out of 1 tournament opponent was kite level 14. I won received the goal reward but no Ethereal. :(

Same thing happened to me. Won tournament, no egg, not in storage, restarted, nothing worked. Team Lava is looking into it. I was beginning to think I was the only one that got robbed of the prize.
