Hi! I have e posted in the bugs thread about the game resetting. Please post there too. Game is glitching when I tap or collect. Very odd.
Woke up this morning to catch up on all the action I’ve missed out on. So sorry for those of you you had to deal with the bugs and glitches when this event started. Looks like the upgrade and double champion issues are now sorted. And this will def be a very energy-intense event, and right after a MH. This considered, and with such a rough start, wisdom would dictate I sit this one out but, alas, FOMO!!! Now at Level 4 and waiting for energy refill to continue
I'll have the goals and prizes written up tonight for page 1.
Those quick resets are when bugs are fixed which is why it was doing this often after release. Reads like all bugs now fixed? If not can you post in Bugs forum. (Link in post 1)
Needed to upgrade the Artic Sled to Level 5:
https://forums.storm8.com/attachment...1&d=1578638514
This event is shaping out to loads of Catsanthemum chopping and Katz Sisters ****ing :blue:
Continuing for the fully upgraded sled w expansion ticket possibilities, but REALLY dubious this is going to be fun. I am tempted to bail because of the energy intensity and an unknown structure - this BETTER not be as awful as the shark event, OR the unfinishable pig/wolf event!
I ended the MH early, keeping 2k of energy in reseve, so I could start an event strong. The 6 hr timer is for Milo is troubling if we are going to need loads of his drops, and if it is random, I am totally utterly, absolutely out. Hopefully it will be a guaranteed drop. Immense gratitude to those who plot ahead to pack down a path through the event snow for the rest of us. : )
Edit add: love the square bushes we are chopping and they are storable, so I will be getting truck loads of them for autumn deco before the event ends. : )
Thank you so much for this information. It made me realize that this event is not possible for low lvl players unless we are prepared to pay handsomely. I am a lvl 20 myself and when I see things like golden nuggets, prime cuts, low drop rate on the cat flowers, having no double drops on crops etc. i can go on, but apparently these types of events are only for high lvl players having a bunch of energy creating creatures. Sad thing cause events should be more or less doable for all players low or high lvl. Low lvls can be encouraged by lowering the amount of mats you need like in the LB event.
Hopefully, the requirements for lower level players will be calibrated down as usual. For the snow globe event, we made 14 sets of upgrade items, compared to 22 for higher level players. I, in fact, finished in a lower kingdom well ahead of my main account.
Something different is that for this event, S8 have released all of the goal and upgrade information to me today. It's now all been transposed into page 1.
I've created a new post which gives information about the prizes awarded in the event. This might be of interest to those players who are undecided about whether or not they want to participate.
There are lower level requirements for the upgrade. I'm not sure what level it is for low vs normal requirements, so maybe lower levelled players could post if they see those lower requirements. I'm guessing it could be up to level 40.
Inventory info has also been entered, but for now only the main drops are known, so I'll still need your help to gather the drops for each of the Husky's.
I hope that you find this information helpful! If it's well received it could become an ongoing method. :)
It's so nice to see the full goals and rewards.
Thanks for all that info, SW and S8.
Do we know if the bone drop thing from the kitted out Milo is guaranteed?? Please say yes!
Cottages are 4 hour reset, so that will defo be a bottleneck, but I reluctantly admit it seems do-able. No babysitting a 90 min or two hour timer. No troll camp. The anti catnip potions will take ages, seems the rush is to get to the cottage stage to make this possible.
Edit add: I added up 48 anti-catnip potions. That's 3-4 a day for advanced players, less what people may have already got in stock. A do-able challenge esp w elven boosts. Reminder to set the first potions *first* before starting the boost to avoid possible glitch.
Miko is not a guaranteed drop. I made 4 of him and after first collection, averaging 50%.
Given that we need 55 bones with an average collection of 6 a day (3 collections of 4 Miko at 50% drop), those will take 10 days to get. That is a MASSIVE bottleneck. I would make more Mikos but he is now gone.
Does Miko drop anything else worth getting?
I am deciding whether I should go long enough to get Miko or just quit now. My enthusiasm is all tapped out after the MH and I need some time to reset and spend time on the regular storyline. Plus, my first semester of graduate school begins on Wednesday so I don?t need any extra stress lol.
Looks like you can craft maximum 5 Mikos. I crafted six and was asked to sell the surplus one
New in the market:
* 2 gem purchase items - both Katz drop wisp essence, seal of the faun and cloudberries[/QUOTE]
On post 2, I think you want 200 gems, not 2, for both Katz drop
URGENT: How do we make more mikos please? I make more sled kits first???? Is there another trick to it? I won't make a Miko until I hear back, I don't want to mess that up. : )
Also calculated (not feeling well enough for work but well enough to muck about w excel) that, for Levels 5-7, it's *roughly* 350 per day (4557 energy over 13 days).
Given I have just upgraded to L5, this is now 265 energy per day for Levels 6 and 7 (3438 energy over 13 days) taking 50% Miko drop into consideration.
I also noticed energy dropping now from blossom crop, haven't done a double boost again to test that part.
EDIT: oops, forgot harness materials. Brings it up to 391 a day for levels 5-7 and 305 per day for levels 6 & 7 by my calcs. : (
Second edit add - I didn't include Miko supplies either. So - It's just crazy energy, but I have it, and I want that last building for the CHANCE of exp permit, so I will stay in ... and everybody remind me not to moan later. : )
From what I've read I think it's impossible for me to complete this without spending money (which I won't do) or gems (which I don't have many of as I am rubbish and keep spending them randomly from tapping too quickly!). I am level 50 and have been for ages but only have two energy droppers (wizard schools so 20 energy each every 4 hours). It's taking me ages to even collect the pawpourri things as I have no runes in order to make the double boost and the elven outpost keeps asking for things I just don't have. Wah!I feel like I should give up now but I also have FOMO! Haha!
Timing wise, this seems impossible! We need 20 bones for this upgrade and will need 35 bones for the next upgrade. With one Miko that random drops a gold bone every 6 hours - how on earth are we supposed to get 55 bones in the time alloted?
Big thanks for posting complete information regarding all upgrades. It helped me to understand that if I don't want to get disappointed i better sit out this event. It is not doable for me event though I am level 50 and have plenty of dailies Alis and some real Alis. This event requires a lot of babysitting collecting the sources for enormous quantity of anti-catnip potions. Wish good luck to all who continue the event. This time at least it is fair, to let us see all the requiremets before we invest too much time and gems into the event.
Managed the five mikos w the elven boost and reduced gem price in the workshop w the boost running. PHEW. 3x5, that's 15 collections a day, say 7ish a day for the bones. Doable w the extra doggies, even if they take their golden nugget selves into storage after event.
And yeah, FOMO on a potential exp permit dropper driving this. Sigh. : ) but I promised no moaning. : )
i'm glad we got to see the requirements ahead of time (without having to be dependent on forum posters forging ahead). but this looks insane. and from those who have posted the crappy drops from miko. nope. i'm out. i will work on coral castle and my blythwood
Same here. I purchased 2 golden catsanthemums. The first one gave me orange petals so I figured that?s what the buds were supposed to look like, until I went to upgrade and noticed the total anthemum buds didn?t increase. So I bought a regular one and got about 3 or 4. I bought another golden one today and chopped it once and got nothing. Went back and chopped again, still nothing. I keep checking it but I only have about two chops left and haven?t gotten anything. So 70 gems wasted! :(
I'm sorry to be dense here, but can you explain this a bit more. What is the "them" you are referring to? Make 5 sled kits first? Then "before you collect the first one" -- is that collect the "Get Miko Ready?" and then "Once you collect, he is gone." -- which craft is gone?
I'm just really confused here.
How did you make five Mikos? Can you give steps? Which craft disappears?
Thanks
First drop from Cara the pup was wool & fertilizer
Miko craft becomes available at goal 11. You can craft maximum 5 of them. The craft disappears once you reach the maximum or the moment you start collecting, so you need to hold off collection until all five are crafted. If you manage to craft six, you won’t be able to place the 6th one and only option is to sell it.
I?ve decided to sit this one out. I am still bummed from the leaderboard but jumped into this storyline as I always do, but upon reading you all saying how much energy it will take, number wise, I just won?t be able to do it. I do not have any energy resources and I don?t need more fruitless frustration. :) as always, thanks for posting info everyone. It?s a big help.
Game keeps glitching out and stealing my energy!! Grr. Anyone else? Just me? (Probably just me, this game has a target on my back.)
Second & third Cara collections were fertilizer & wool, fourth was wool & prime cut
Me too..... the really sneaky ones too, where you don't get the galloping horse or a 3+ second screen pause. I start a Potion, collect flowers, then notice the potion hasn't started.....or I log back in, expecting to collect, and the Potion Shop is empty. The resets after logging out are the most annoying IMO
This event is VERY energy intensive! Look on page 1!
I'm about this close to giving up on this game I've enjoyed in the past. The sled and creatures are too cute but the upgrading continues to revert to lvl 2 just like it has done to me during the last 3 events of this type. No problem with the Monster Hunt/Leaderboard. Put in a ticket last time and only got a temporary fix apparently. I don't have the time or patience to keep trying the usual "fixes" as numerous attempts have been fruitless. I'm using the current version and beginning to think that's when the problem started. I wonder if we were able to delete the many useless, obsolete inventory items (clearing the game's cache) maybe the game would run smoother without so many glitches?
Like many others it seems, I shall be sitting this one out. I have so much to do in terms of main story line and I have also be*** a total kingdom reorganization. So plenty to do until the next event. Best of luck to those proceeding!
I'm persevering, since I have plenty of energy, but I'm still a bit confused about the golden bones from Miko (I'm just making my first sled now, and I intend to make five before I make Miko). We need 55 bones, and we can get 3 a day from a single Miko. So all the people who followed the instructions and made Miko without making extra sleds have no hope. Is that a bug? Or am I misunderstanding because I am not up to there yet?
You can continue to make the doggies in the workshop(using 1 sled, etc for each one). The minute you collect from a Miko, you finish that goal (Goal 11)& lose the option to craft more.
My strategy:
Craft a sled kit. Collect in 1 hour & craft #Miko #1. Craft another sled kit...gem to collect it. Craft Miko #2. Now turn on the Fast Worker boost so they're ready in 1 hour instead of 2.
Repeat above to craft Miko #3 & #4.
I'm now crafting. miko #5
