I remember when they added new expansions a long time ago. They cost like 25 million coins, did they lower the price, could somebody tell me what the prices on all the expansions are as I haven't unlocked them all yet.
thank you.

If u go to the Mystery Box Tab located on the main Design Tab scroll thru it and ull c all of the expansions and their cost in both coins or gems at the end. If u don't c any there then that means uve maxed on expansions.
Why doesn't TL allow expansion past 23x26? I recently started playing again and noticed TL brought the price down for expansions, if one could expand one could get more creative. I enjoy the creative design process of this game and like to create 3d atmospheres but currently limited because of size.
I would assume the limit on expansion is based on the rendering view distance idea in a lot of open world games. The cpu in mobile devices can only handle so much before it laggs and crashes, so adding too big of an expansion may crash your devices. (My guess, based on years of online gaming lag)
I know I'm nowhere near my expansion limit and the game tends to get out of sync with the server a lot, so maybe team lava is just trying to keep things safe. It's a lot of coding both for the programming team, and for a small device like a cellphone to run.
I was thinking it might be along the same lines as you xadine, but I just downloaded farm story and it seems one can get a much larger farm than restaurant. So the rendering doesn't make complete sense to me..is RS a big memory hog compared to FS...coding could be a little more complex in RS with the addition of Bots...but still can't wrap my head around the size limitation.
Ok just found the answer to my question in another forum..looks like no more expansions for awhile.
Not sure what you read, and would like to hear the answer you found!
I do know farm story doesn't have quite as many options in regards to inventory and gifts as RS and BS though, so that MAY play a part in it?
Would love to hear what you've learned about expansions!
I collected lots of coins to expand more than one space but I couldnt and I had to pay more coins to expand!!!!!!!! :-(:-(:-(:-(:-(:-(:-(:-(
You can only expand one space at a time, but if you have enough coins for two expansions you can expand a second time.
What is the TRUE exact maximum expansion in RS
25x28 .
That is what I thought but my restaurant says I can expand to 26X29 for 80 gems but I think I need 7 more neighbors
If you purchase expansion with gems it doesnt matter how many neighbors you have.
dOes anyone know if you need a certain number of neighbours to expand in Restaurant and if so how many neighbours do you need for each of the expansions please?
Hi yeah i think so, and the game let you know if you dont have the enough neighbours...
Expand to 10x13 - 2 Neighbors
Expand to 11x14 - 2 Neighbors
Expand to 12x15 - 8 Neighbors
Expand to 13x16 - 11 Neighbors
Expand to 14x17 - 16 Neighbors
Expand to 15x18 - 21 Neighbors
Expand to 16x19 - 26 Neighbors
Expand to 17x20 - 31 Neighbors
Expand to 18x21 - 36 Neighbors
Expand to 19x22 - 41 Neighbors
Expand to 20x23 - 46 Neighbors
Expand to 21x24 - 51 Neighbors
Expand to 22x25 - 56 Neighbors
Expand to 23x26 - 61 Neighbors
Expand to 24x27 - 66 Neighbors
Expand to 25x28 - 71 Neighbors
Expand to 26x29 - 71 Neighbors
Thank you
Apparently I can expand for 70 neighbors....do I loose these neighbors if I go ahead with expansion.
No you won't lose your neighbors but be aware that you have to have a certain coin amount in addition to the 70 neighbors.
Thank you deekathleen
Does anyone know if restaurant story will allow anymore expansions for those who have reached their expansion limits????? Getting sort of bored with the same thing in the game everyday and I don't want to redecorate. I've put a lot of time and money in my original design & I'm beyond satisfied with my resto as is. I'd just like to be able to add on as I'm sure many other players would love to do the same....
I am sorry but once you reach your expansion limit, you will currently not be able to expand anymore.
This is something that has been a constant in the Restaurant and Bakery story games. Example, I needed 36 neighbors to expand and I had 35. I got 3 more neighbors and went back to expand and now it says I need 40. What is up with that? This has been going on as far back as I can remember. Very frustrating.
In addition to the required amount of neighbors you also need whatever coin amount it requires.
I think it should say, for example, "25 neighbors AND 500,000 coins," so as not to mislead.
I've just levelled up to 28 and I want to expand but the next one is at 250,000 or 20 gems but at the beginning (after boxes) it says I can spend 80 gems and get the 25x27 expansion but I'm not sure if I spend 80 gems I'll get the 25x27. I don't wish to waste them. How do expansions work. Please help?
You have to go one step at a time. 15x18 to 16x19 to 17x20 etc. Even if you have 80 gems, the game won't allow you to jump that far. I noticed the same thing and tried to buy the larger size. It didn't work.
Hello... I want to expand my restaurant and when I check using tab of expansion, not by clicking an arrow to expand... I get some choice. Using gem, using coin, or using neighbors. If I click using 25 neighbors for example, will 25 of my neigjbors dissappear? Sorry for bad english. Thanks
No, they won't disappear. :) it just means you have to have a certain amount of neighbours to have the ability to expand.
So of already ave that certain amount... i wont have to pay using coins or gems? Or i still have to do so?
Ohh... okay. Thank you
I'm at level 48 nearly at level 49 and my next expansion is at 2 million. Is it worth expanding with gems or coins?
It's entirely up to you but I personally wouldn't waste gems on expansions when you can easily get 2 million
I'll definitely expand using coins and save the gems for other purchases. 2 million coins is a lot but if you're not in a hurry to expand, take your time to save up. Well, that was what I did for mine. :)
Thank you guys. I nearly got 1.5 million and have got heaps of recipes to still master. I'll keep my gems for future buys
