"Sandy Metal Boots" - unable to begin this quest

When I click on the button in the Sandy Metal Boots window to begin this adventure, the game takes me to the purchase of The Barracks. However, when I attempt to use my Queenscastle to send my Knights on the Desert Sands adventure, it shows this adventure as being locked. Do i really have to purchase the Barracks in order to move forward in this? If so, I'm unable to complete it because of a lack of gems. 😟

I am playing this game on my iPad Mini under the Storm8 ID of MyLady_59. Thanks for any help you can give me!

In order to unlock 'Traverse the Desert Sands' for the Queens Court, you will need to save Sabina and complete the Goal 'Strictly Ornamental'.

The blond down south on your board. It's a very long complicated goal line so be sure you're ready for it ...
