Not loading in the background

Ok, so I recently just downloaded iOS8 on my phone and have been having issues with fashion story. I'll get updates that people have tipped my store but they don't load? And now the store isn't loading at all in the background. If my store isn't up on my screen I make no gold at all. I've ended this day with almost less gold than I started with because I'm not getting rewarded when it's not open on my screen. I can close the app with 250k gold and twenty minutes later when I open it up its at the exact same amount!! I can't just leave my phone open all day, how do I fix this?? I've lost out on a LOT of revenue today and my clothes are just stockpiling since nobody is buying them!!

It seems to be loading today after the new update to iOS8 so long as it's closed out completely. I'm at least getting revenue messages when I open it up again.
